Bill Holloway's Repair

Review: Our vehicle was taken to the mechanic shop for a repair estimate. After waiting almost two and a half weeks for the estimate, we called the shop for the estimate (4/15/15 at 0917am). On the day that we called, Mr. [redacted] reported that he had the truck "all torn apart and on the lift." I asked him what was wrong with the vehicle and the estimate. He reported that the fuel pump needed to be fixed" and provided "about $350." I explained to him that we never authorized him to fix the vehicle but it he could repair it for $250 that he could continue. He said that if he could not do fix it for that price, he would call be back in one hour on which he never called. He apologized and said "I am sorry, I am here all by myself." At 133 pm on 4/15/15, I called to check on the vehicle status. His father reported that he was almost completed with the vehicle and that he did not call me back this morning as he had a "doctors appointment and some running around." At 232pm, Mr [redacted] called to report that the vehicle was repaired and to bring $250 cash on which I did about 45 minutes after the call provided as I needed to go to the bank. My husband and I picked the vehicle up. We got about 0.5 miiles down the road from the mechanic shop and about 1 mile from our home and the truck began to sputter and jerk. We got home safely but with a headache from jerking and called Mr. [redacted]. He reported that he never test drove the vehicle before calling us or picking the vehicle up. He noted, "I am just so busy and was under pressure to get it done." "It will cost your more for me to relook at it but I dont know when I can." He then proceeded to ask me if I worked for free. I explained to him that his repair was unsafe. I then hung the telephone up.Desired Settlement: The desired outcome would be $250 cash refund as we provided to him and a report on his business to alert further consumers.
