To Whom It May Concern,We sold Mr. [redacted] the truck on June l8th 2016 as-is with no warranty becauseof the mileage being over 100,000 miles. We offered an extended warranty at thetime of purchase which was declined. The truck was purchased on a Saturday andwas brought back Monday to have an emission sticker put on. There was no issuewith the truck at that point. We were not contacted until July 13th about himhaving an issue with the truck. All of the supported documentation is included.Eric B[redacted]Sales Manager

Review: I was persuaded to purchase a vehicle that was not suited for me. I came in told them exactly what I was looking for and they sent me in a whole other direction. Many things were promised but never we're pursued. I am a traveling nurse I need a vehicle that has good gas mileage, the car I had before the one I own now I got 40 miles per gallon and now I get 17 miles per gallon. That is one of the big things that I expressed to them. They first told me they would be able to get my interest for the car at 3 or 4 percent and then came out and said my interest was going to be 9.8%. I was also promised a full tank of gas the day I bought it and the Monday I had to take it back to get a wheel fixed on it, I was only filled to half a tank. I went into the shop with my two daughters I'm a single mom and I expressed I don't have money to just throw out the window in gas but they still persuaded me to get this car. As soon as I started to show some doubt on getting the car three other guys surrounded my children and I all butting in trying to persuade me to get the car, a guy even left his customers to talk to me, I felt pressured to buy this vehicle. I also strongly expressed that I did not want to carry over any negativity from my other car to my new car they told me that I wouldn't, that they would pay the whole car off and I would start fresh. But after I looked at my contract a little closer it shows that I brought $4,000 over in negativity they said the car was originally $18,000 but on the contract is $14,000and then the negativity brought up to $18,000. If I would have known that I would have never got this vehicle. I also walked in there with an excellent credit score and as of today with 16 points less because they had four different banks looking at my credit score and 3 out of 4 denied me because the car was worth less than what they were selling the car for to me, which I should remind you that they never told me any of that. Tried to return it and asked for the GM and was told no.Desired Settlement: Be grateful if I could return this vehicle which has caused me great stress and start over again. Get something that is better suited for my job as a traveling hospice nurse and my two children.

Review: My truck was taken to Mccandless ford the beginning of January, possible clutch repair. About 2 weeks later they said the problem was fixed however it was not. Filed a complaint with corporate and was told they would fix the real problem and refund the part that was replaced for no reason. Unfortunately had to bring the truck back that same day, the mechanics did not even look at the truck until a week later, finally they said it would cost 2,000$ plus they would not refund what they originally said they would. They tore the truck apart and stated we could take it somewhere else however it's in pieces so we'd have to have it towed, they would not put it back together. It's been almost a month I have nene out of a vehicle, and the repairs are not covered under warranty. It has been an awful and unpleasant experience very disappointed.Desired Settlement: They replaced a part that didn't need to be replaced costing over $600, stated they would refund it but then took their word back. They completely ignored the real problem. All I ask is a refund for the part that did not need replaced.

Review: To whom it may concern,on June ,7,2013 I purchased a 1998 GMC Safari van. It had 37,084 miles. Body and interior in great condition.I found the ad on craigslist.I spoke to a salesman and Initially Mccandless wanted $4700.00 for vehicle. The vehicle was at the rear of their lot. They didn't have the "BUYERS GUIDE"on vehicle and did not give me one or tell me anything about a "BUYERS GUIDE" .They did not want to inspect it .Salesman showed me a small section of the front frame holding up the bumper that was rusted and told me it was an easy fix if I knew someone that welded. They did not offer me to get a different mechanic to look at it.Over the past year I changed oil myself .The last time ,I did not change oil myself. I went to Pep Boys at which time the mechanic having it in the air,saw that the whole front frame and rear frame were rusted out completely along with major steering and suspension components. Then he told me that it was not road worthy and that McMcandless should have never let me drive it off their lot.The mechanic also stated that it took years for that type of corrosion to occur.I feel as though I was deceived buy McCandlesss for the fact that they didn't divulge to me the extent of frame damage.I have had 3 different mechanics and frame people look at it and the diagnosis is that it will cost me $4000.00 to repair or scrap the vehicle. Each mechanic said the same thing "I can't believe they sold you that and let you drive it away in that condition". I can get these mechanics to attest to their findings. I trusted them and thought I got a good van. Please help me.Desired Settlement: A replacement will do ,BUT.I have already spent hundreds to have these mechanics look at it and I also have bought the front sub-frame for it in which cannot be used unless thousands are spent on other components.I have driven vehicle on highways at high speeds with my family and grandson in the vehicle.Someone could have got killed.I do not drive it now.I have been missing work opportunities because of lack of vehicle.I am a carpenter and need a vehicle.Compensate forLoss of work, stress, etc!!
