To whom it may concern,
Mr. Duffy was given the option to do the same repairs on his vehicle the day he had it in our service department, he was also offered the less expensive option of doing the transmission flush without replacing all the transmission lines which he opted for. We...

did not dispute that our technician inadvertently over tightened one of the lines after the flush was done. Bill Selig Ford refunded Mr. Duffy the amount of the Transmission flush after verifying in a three way conversation with Mr. Duffy, myself and Mike the service Mgr. from [redacted] that the additional repairs performed were not our responsibility. It should also be noted that Mr. Duffy tried to use his affiliation with the U.S. Marshall service to threaten us with lawsuits and that he had the service of U.S. Attorneys with all the time in the world to tie us up in court. We felt then and still feel that we did the right thing in refunding the repair.
sincerely,
Thomas Selig

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
As usual Mr. Selig side steps the problem, there
was ADDITIONAL damage done to the vehicles transmission due to sub-par work
performed at SELIG FORD. The additional damage was in the lieu of $596.00 that
[redacted] FORD repaired. There was a three way conversation between myself,
Mike (maintenance supervisor from BOB THOMAS FORD) and T.J. Selig. During the
conversation the 15 minute conversation, it was obvious that T.J. Selig would do
nothing more than refund the original amount of ($250.00) for the transmission
flush and oil change and not be responsible for the additional damage caused by
his mechanic.
As far as T.J. exaggeration of (threats) from a law suit I am still inquiring
about those steps. I at no time used my position as a platform to threaten MR.
Selig I explained to him that I will be exploring the option of legal action
against him, I believe it is my job as a Federal officer to report damage to a
government vehicle from sub-par work performed and would further explain to Mr.
Selig that the vehicle was purchased by American Tax Payers. T.J should take a
note that the amateur work that was performed at his shop cost the American Tax
Payers more money.
It should also be noted that T.J. Selig at no time apologized for this
sub-par work performed, additional maintenance that needed to be performed or
the inconvenience of the sub-par work performed. When I picked the vehicle up
from Bob Thomas Ford I received an apology and was told FORD does not operate
like that and we are sorry for your inconvenience with the other
dealership.
So i'm clear Mr. Selig is saying they offered me a cheaper option to do the the flush which was chosen, they were unable to properly perform the complete the simple flush, caused additional damage to the vehicle because the hose was overtightned causing the transmission to run hot, causing the wrench light to turn on, thus again causing additional damage, causing more money to be spent on sub-par work. So T.J. is not responsible for the additional damge done by the hose being overtightned.  Myself and the supervisor and mechanic at [redacted] disagree.
Sincerely,
Matt Duffy

Review: I brought my [redacted] dump truck to Celig ford to diagnose an issue of not starting. The technician called me and said that they replaced the fuel injections sensor but did not fix the issue and they think it is the high flow oil pump. They think it is bad and there were going to replace it and the cost is about $2,200.00 parts and labor. After replacing the sensor and the pump, the truck still did not start. The next day the shop called me and said that the truck started and the issue that there was fuel spells on the pistons and were slipping thus not building pressure to start the truck. They dried the pistons up with a cloth and the truck started. I believe that I was over charged for replacing the high flow oil pump and the fuel injection sensor.Desired Settlement: I would like refund of $2,200; the parts and cost and labor time spent on replacing parts that were not the issue.

Review: I recently had taken a vehicle to Bill Selig Ford for a transmission Flush.3 days later when I drove the vehicle it started overheating and a wrench light went on I drove the vehicle to Bob Thomas FORD where they relized who ever did the transmission flush on the vehicle kinked the hose therfore causing the transmission to Overheat also causing $596.00 of additional work to the transmission due to it overheating. TJ Selig of Bill Selig Ford only agreed to pay pack the money for the initail transmission flush. TJ Selig put that $250.00 towards the $596.00 of transmission work that his michanic caused. [redacted] took pictures of the kinked hose and sent them to me. please let me know if you would like to see them.Desired Settlement: refund the money for the inital flush $200.00 and then pay the remaining balance of $346.00 for the damage done to the transmission because there mechanic could not do a simple transmission flush.
