This jewelry store ruined a very special religious medal by removing the satin finish on the medal to hide damage they did during a repairThey were only asked to solder the small ring that attaches the medal to the necklace and instead decided to scratch the medal, cut the edge on the back, ruin the shape and buff off the beautiful satin finishThey have no quality control and could not answer my question as to why the goldsmith would do such extensive damage when only asked to solder the little ring on the top of the medal!
