Customer originally presented his vehicle to us on April 22, 2015, for an oil change and servicingAdditionally, his air conditioning was blowing warm airWe performed an evacuation on the A/C system and rechargedSystem functioned to specs at that timeCustomer was charged $plus tax for
that service(See, Exhibit A.) On July 28, 2015, customer returned with a warm air condition againA/C system was again evacuated and recharged and checked with a refrigerant gas leak detector, but no leaks could be detected at this timeThis service was provided free of charge and A/C functioned to specsOn March 24, 2016, customer returned again with a warm air conditionWe proceeded to check all pressures and found a low Freon charge againWe added Freon to A/C system and this time with the aid of the refrigerant leak detector found a leak on the condenser and also a leak around the compressor shaft sealWe prepared an estimate for repair and customer approvedTo secure a parts warranty on this repair, NAPA Auto Parts requires replacement of the expansion valve, filter drier and a flush of the system with a solvent prior to replacing the compressor or condenser, which we performedAfter replacement of parts we performed a vacuum of the system and recharged, while recharging we also injected a diagnostic leak detection dye due to the magnitude of the repairThis is a standard procedure in this shopAfter recharging and leak check A/C was operating to specsCustomer was given an estimate of $for repairThe labor was discounted and the customer paid $(See, Exhibit B.) On April 27, 2016, customer returned again for a warm air conditionWe proceeded to check vehicle again and this time used an ultra violet light to diagnose, since we had injected a UV dye into the system on previous visitWe found evidence of dye on the discharge hose at the crimp joint were the hose is manufacturedWe also found a small leak on the pressure transducer on the suction lineI prepared estimate for repair which customer approved for $The customer was not charged to replace pressure transducer or to recharge system with FreonHe was only charged for parts and hose replacementHis final bill for repair was $We leak checked again and vehicle was operating to specs(See, Exhibit C.)Please bear in mind, this vehicle is ten (10) years old with approximately 130,milesWith the repairs we have performed there are still original components left on this system that could possibly fail. Customer refused to return to our shop so I could check if a component that we installed had failed, which carries a warranty resulting in no charge to him and a reimbursement of labor charged to me from manufacturer of replacement parts. With replacement of these parts that we installed, pressures on the system could possibly cause unforeseen leaks on the remaining ten (10) year old parts. Should you need any additional information, please do not hesitate to contact me

Regards,
*** ***" Bottom Line":1: my AC was not repaired after multiple visits to Spurlock Dodge2: bringing the car in for yet another appointment,( as Spurlock suggested(, from the consumers perspective is out of the questionA 5th or 6th attempt was not going to happen and no customer in their right mind would have allowed them another attempt and waste more money.3: the discounts that Spurlock claims to have given me are not documented on any of the paper work that I received Therefore they did not occur

Regards,
[redacted] Spurlock Dodge fails to mention the total cost I have incurred for my problem. After they charged me 1088.50 on 4-11-16 to "repair" my AC .. The AC again stopped blowing cold, so on May 9th I took the car back to Spurlock Dodge. I was then charged an additional 219.46 dollars. On 5-24-16 when I had the car in their shop for a transmission leak, I spoke with the mechanic that worked on my car on 4-11 and 5-9 and informed him that the car was still blowing cold but was the AC was making a loud noise. He said " it's probably just the new parts we put on". However on 6-20-16 the AC once AGAIN stopped blowing cold air!!! I called Spurlock Dodge and their solution was to once again bring the car in to their garage. This was not acceptable as it became clear they were charging me without actually fixing the problem. In response to receiving a labor discount, no where on my receipt is there any documentation of my bill being " discounted"!I have subsequently taken my car to another Garage.
