Bill Walsh Toyota - Scion Reviews (1)

The registration packet was indeed sent to the address on the bank contract. We were alerted to the fact that the *** did not receive this and then triggered procedures to have a duplicate Certificate of Origin created for the Camry. As this was a dealer trade unit, we had to have
the original dealer (Toyota of Peoria) order the duplicate Certificate of Origin from Toyota Motor Company. When they received the duplicate they sent it to Bill Walsh Toyota via traditional mail. The Certificate of Origin was never received. We had to contact Toyota of Peoria again to have yet another duplicate Certificate of Origin created. Toyota Motor Company issued another Certificate of Origin and this time used UPS to have it delivered. We then sent the registration packet to the *** via UPS (the original was also sent to them UPS). This duplicate registration packet was dropped off by UPS (Tracking ID: ***) to *** *** **, Jacksonville, NC on March 2, at 10:18am While we apologize for the delay, there was, from the beginning, a lot of ways that this could have gone wrong, not the least of which is using a different address for receiving official documents that doesn’t match to a contract address. Our License and Title clerks follow long standing protocol to ensure registration mirrors exactly the information given to the lien holding institutions. I am more than happy to speak to the financial institution where Miss *** works to explain the situation so that the interest rate reflects a collateralized loan. I sit on the Board of Directors at a bank and while this type of situation isn’t typical, it’s certainly understandable that unexpected exceptions to loan policy (titles, appraisals, etc) do exist and then officers get involved and remedy the situationI don’t know how a missing title can be humiliating professionally. I can absolutely understand it has been a frustrating inconvenience and is atypical of our own experience in out-of-state transactions that occur in our business on a very regular basis It certainly does not justify a buy-back. It doesn’t appear there has been anything keeping the Camry from performing and we have provided the temporary tag extensions at no cost to the ***Again, I’m happy to speak to the bank and to even consider our participation in offsetting any interest costs experienced by the *** in the time between when the interest rate was changed to a non-collateralized rate due to the title delay. Lastly, to insinuate this mishap had anything at all to do with disrespecting a military family is preposterous. My family has been in the military, we have many employees who have been in the military, in fact, gave away a brand new Camry to a local veteran in a Veterans Day tribute to local heroes and continually offer special sales and service discounts to all active and retired military and their families. We are immensely grateful to those who serve In summary, if I get a name of someone at the bank and a phone number I’ll speak to them and get the interest rate difference due and send a check
