On 5-15-15, B.Thompson (relationship unknown), carried in two double-paned windows to have both panes in both windows replacedThey were picked up shortly after

received a voice mail from Jay MAfter exchanging phone messages back and forth, we spoke directly on 1-6-MrM said that there were two cracks in one window and that he felt they were stress cracksMy response to him at that time was that it would be highly unusual for a stress crack(s) to occur 6+ months after they were installed
He responded that he knew for a fact that Anderson Windows would replace a stress crack three (3) days after installI responded that we would also but that three days and 6+ months were two very different time linesSix months after install any new crack is treated as new damage and there is no warranty for that
In an effort to come to a satisfactory solution, I told him that if he brought the window into our shop, I would replace the glass for material only, no labor chargeThe cost for the double pane replacement is I told him I would deduct the $labor charge, resulting in a bottom line of $
JM refused my offer and stated that he was only willing to pay half of the $When I attempted to explain to him that this window was not under warranty because of the 6+ month time that had passed and that my offer to replace the glass with no labor charge was more than fair, he raised his voice and stated that he was going to call the Revdex.com and post negative reviews on the internet if I did not agree to repair the window at his desired priceAt that point I knew that I would not be able to satisfy him and told him I was sorry that he was unhappyHe hung up

I offered what I thought was a fair settlement to split the cost of the repair and they declinedMike even said the crack as I described it to him "didn't sound like a stress crack to him" pretty amazing he tell just by me describing he can diagnose the problemThe Receptionist also said it that a Bird probably flew into itAnything but the possibility that their product failedThe Window was there for years with no problem, then Months after they replace the Glass it is cracked
When I informed Mike I would be writing to the Revdex.com he said "Are you threating me" I said no this is not a threat I was just going to tell my experience with his company on the Revdex.com, I will bring the Window to a company that stands behind their work
