They do an awesome job--you send them your bill, they work their magic, you get your savings. They take 50% of the savings, with a 10% discount based on paying for the savings in a lump sum. We've used them for two years now and have benefited from significant savings.

They've effortlessly saved me money for AT&T, TWC, and now Spectrum.
Sometimes it takes a billing cycle for the savings to reflect, but so far the numbers have always added up.

For Spectrum, they even managed to get a special deal for a speed upgrade and still ended up paying cheaper than the expiring deal :).

It is an absolute pleasure to help people like you save money on their monthly bills! When so many are suffering from the current chaos, and increasing prices on their monthly bills while trying to make ends meet, we can offer relief to stretch your dollars so you can pay for food and shelter. It is a privilege to help you out as we have for so many others over the years. Thanks for the kind review. It is greatly appreciated by our hard-working team of Savings Experts! Be safe and stay home. We've got your back.
Thanks, The BillCutterz Team

BEWARE!! My att&t bill was 80.00.I hired billcutterz. They told me they got it down $26 per month. They charged ne$160 for the year. When my bill came out was only $5 less. They said it was because my bill was ABOUT to go up! I feel like this was very unfair! I ended up paying way more than they saved me.
Nothing I said changed their mind.

Respectfully, I believe this customer is confused about her bill and the savings we achieve on her behalf. At the time of negotiation, her old rate was $101.65. We were able to lower her bill “by $26.00” per month for 12 months and not as she has mentioned, “to $26.00” per month. These savings were relayed to the customer by email. Our savings break-down was, $20.00 per month for 12 months on her “Internet Service” and $6.00 per month for 12 months on her “Home Phone.” The new rate on her monthly bill is $75.65. The customer lost previous discounts which expired on her bill two days before our negotiation.

I contacted this company to help me negotiate my optimum Bill that was coming up for renewal. Optimum has a history of vastly increasing bills upon the expiration of promotional items and I would prefer to pay someone to deal with them rather than to waste the time and energy haggling over an already expensive ($200)per month bill. Billcutterz rep *** told me in writing that she saved me $10 per month on my bill without changing any services. I paid Billcutterz foolishly only to see that my bill increased the next month and I lost services. When I contacted *** at Billcutterz again, I was told that they saved me $10 on one line item that is reflected in my bill and did not address my loss of services. I am now left with a higher bill than when I started and I am out the fee I paid Billcutterz. I cancelled the cable account and am utilizing any avenue available to get my money back from Billcutterz so far to no avail. Be advised and do not make the same mistakes I did. Avoid this company at all costs.

We are disappointed that this customer has experienced issues with our service and, as always, will make it right. Billcutterz did in fact save this customer $10 per month for 12 months on his monthly bill as is reflected on the line item described as "Cloud DVR Plus." On this line item, the customer was previously being charged $10 per month. Currently, the charge on this line item is "ZERO" reflecting the discount we achieved on his behalf. Service providers commonly increase the costs of their services to their customers without notification. This is not Billcutterz fault or obligation to repair. In Billcutterz Terms and Conditions which all customers must agree to before allowing Billcutterz to negotiate lower rates on their behalf (as this customer did), it clearly states the following:

Rate Increases by Service Providers:

Service providers may increase rate/fees for service provided to its customers at any time. Should your rate increase after Billcutterz has negotiated a discount on your bill, you will still be charged and expected to pay Billcutterz the invoiced amount it reduced you bill by through its negotiation service. Billcutterz's negotiated discounts, and service providers' increasing their rates/fees, are totally unrelated issues and will in no way be commingled.

I have attached both the customer's July bill and September bill which evidences the $10 saving under the line item "Cloud DVR Plus."

In summary, we want our customers to be happy and although we did our job and we are expected to do, sometimes things just don't work out the way we all expect them to. In the spirit of good faith and goodwill, we are refunding this customer's monies in full and wish him all the very best in his future endeavors.

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Regards

I was most pleased by the work done by BillCutterz in getting my Internet/Phone/TV bill shaved by about $10.00 per month. If you are in the same boat as I was when they went to work for me, I suggest that you give them a try.

Thanks so much for allowing us to negotiate a lower bill for you. It was absolutely our pleasure and is our sole mission. Delighted you are pleased with the results!

They said they negotiated a fair discount for my AT&T bill. I haven't seen a discount but have received multiple bills and even collection agency contacting me for a service I never recieved nor signed for authorizing them to change my bill. They are misleading.

This customer enrolled with us in September 2017. When she enrolled with us, she manually agreed to our Terms and Conditions which simply states the customer will pay us 50% of the savings if we are successful in lowering her monthly bill(s). We were successful in saving the customer money on her bill(s) and reached out to the customer multiple times for payment. We did finally reach her and she confirmed she would pay her invoice within the week. We never received payment and tried to reach the customer another 4 times (unsuccessfully) and finally sent her to our collection agency in December 2017. The customer simply did not pay for services rendered. She now writes this "customer review" (two-years after her savings were achieved and she did not pay our invoice) giving us a one-star review. We simply don't understand why?? We did exactly what we say we will, save you money on your monthly bill and invoice you for 50% of the savings, or if we don't save you money there is no charge for our service. We are clueless as to why this customer wrote this review.

BillCutterz negotiates lower price points (on behalf of the consumer) for various types of contracts such as internet/phone. They then split calculate 50% of the discount as your fee for their services. This fee is paid directly to BillCutterz from you the consumer. You then enjoy your larger discount over time on the aforementioned negotiated bill with your service provider.

They have assisted me in the past quite well, so I submitted my Spectrum (internet) bill for them to attempt a reduction in my monthly fee.

However, after their phone call with Spectrum, my monthly bill *INCREASEDby $10 per month.

I was then contacted by BillCutterz noting that they negotiated my Spectrum bill to be reduced $15/month. I noted that this was not in fact the case, submitted bills, screenshots, and emails as confirmation. My primary contact at BillCutterz was ***. I have record of all of our complete conversation.

I now received a collections notice from "Merchants and Professional Collection Bureau, Inc." requesting immediate payment for my outstanding balance in full (plus their processing charge) - totaling approximately $130.

I have emailed and called BillCutterz, left messages, and attempted to clarify with them directly this error on their part. They have been unresponsive.

I will not be paying for a service that *INCREASEDmy monthly charges.....let alone pay any collection service fees.

Bill Cutterz has generated significant saving for me on my Comcast account. They annual revisit to try to get additional savings. They have been great to deal with.

BillCutterz Response • Aug 19, 2018

We so appreciate the opportunity to help you save money on your monthly bills. We treat your bills as if they were our own.
Thanks so much for your stellar review! We feel so good to hear accolades from our customers and are delighted you continue to enjoy our service.

I hired Billcutterz to lower my AT&T cell Phone bill. I heard about them though a friend, so I decided to try their services. We all could benefit from having lower bills right? WRONG... 3 months has passed since they said they officially lowered my Cell Phone bill. I figured that well maybe it takes time for it to go through...? I had given them the benefit of the doubt, but now its Aug, another month has passed without seeing any change in my Cell Phone Bill.

So I decided to call AT&T and find out what's going on. I spoke to a representative in Billing & Accounts, After I had told her the Story, that I had hired Billcutterz to lower my Cell Phone Bill back in April she told me she would do her best to investigate this on my Account, to get to the bottom of this situation. I waited about 10 minutes, then she came back on the line saying that there had been no evidence on my account of a company called Billcutterz or any third party company on record attempting to lower my bill by phone, mail, e-mail, In Store, or by mesages. There had been no contact made to AT&T by Billcutterz concerning my account. I was like, "Are you Sure?" then she told me that She wanted to get her manager to verify. After another 10-15 minutes She came back on the line and Verified what she had said before. That her manager and her looked over the past 3 months Cell Phone Bills, and Compared them to older ones. They did not see any evidence of my Bills being lowered, modified, or credited. Also there was no evidence of Billcutterz ever contacting AT&T on my behalf to negotiate a lower bill. Now, After all this I am pretty HEATED!!!! I figured that there was a mistake and maybe my credit or discount hasn't posted yet.
So as of Now I have sent Billcutterz my PROOF, that they never Contacted AT&T to lower my Cell Phone Bill, nor did they Get it Lowered or Discounted by any means... I WANT them to Stop Contacting Me about Money Owed, they are not Allowed to access my account EVER, and they will stop Threatening me about Collecting their money I "DO NOT OWE" Nor will they Attempt to hurt my Credit. "They Did not Complete any Work they agreed to, therefore I will not Pay them for it"

Billcutterz has contacted my frequently over the past two months wanting their money that they said They have saved me!!!
WOW... I am glad I haven't paid them for the last two months, they never lowered my bill or tried to negotiate a lower bill so why do they deserve to get paid for work they never did???

Billcutterz and the other companies like them are A Joke... A SCAM... DO NOT Let them have your Personal Account Info, Do NOT USE THEM "Bill Shark etc.. AT ALL!!! I Have Learned My Lesson!

BillCutterz received this complaint by the customer on August 23, 2018 via the Revdex.com. On August 17, 2018 (six days before we even received this complaint), and after multiple conversations with the customer, we canceled the customer's account with Billcutterz and voided his invoice. We do not agree with many of this customer's statements in his complaint and are sorry this customer was inconvenienced in any way, however, in the spirit of quality customer service, we have already taken action to remediate this issue. We are deeply saddened that this customer seems to have had a bad experience with us, however, since 2009 we have been proudly servicing thousands of happy customers with no issues whatsoever. A plethora of our customers have been working with us for over six years, and we continue to save them money on their monthly bills year after year. We only wish the best for this customer in his future endeavors and welcome new customers to try our service. We are the real-deal and our successful nine-year track record of saving people money on their monthly bills thoughout the US and Canada speaks for itself. Our Promise to our customers since our inception has been, "If we don't save you money, there is no charge to you whatsoever."

I have been using BillCutterz for two years to reduce a "triple package" from Spectrum/Time Warner Cable which covers internet, TV, and phone. Although a customer for over thirty years and several visits to their office, they refused to lower the monthly bill which had crept up to $180 per month.
BillCutterz was able to get the monthly bill down to $160. The difference of $20 a month equals $240 in savings for the year. You have to pay for BillCutterz negotiating on your behalf, which is half of what they saved you, in my case, $120. Is that fair? I do think their fee is a little high, but at least I am saving $120 a year.
I will definitely sign up with BillCutterz for a third year to reduce the outrageous Spectrum/Time Warner Cable bill. Spectrum is my only bill which is high, so I have not given BillCutterz any other bill to reduce.
All of the correspondence I have had with BillCutterz has been polite and professional.

BillCutterz Response • Aug 10, 2018

Thanks so much for allowing us to help you lower your Spectrum/Time Warner Cable bill. Any savings is still savings and money back in your pocket. When we negotiate bills for our customers, we're never sure what we might achieve in the way of savings. Maybe next time we can save you even more.
You might go ahead and forward us the bills you think are already cheap/inexpensive. We might just save you more money, and if not, you will at least will know you are getting the lowest rate possible. And remember, if we don't save you money, there is no charge to you whatsoever.
Thanks again for being such a great customer and submitting your wonderful review!

They helped me save $203 over the course of a year! I couldn't be happier with the service they provided!

BillCutterz Response • Jul 20, 2018

Thanks so much for the accolades! Saving you money is, of course, our primary focus, however, saving you time, energy and stress seems to be a bonus for all of our customers.
We are delighted to help you and your family while looking forward to saving you even more in the future!

Loved the idea, however I ended up actually paying MORE than I was before, here's how:
I added all my monthly bills for negotiation. None of them resulted in any changes or savings, because they were mostly under a contract. I wasn't charged anything for that, so it was fine.
My Cable contract ended, and of course the company jacked my rate up, from $150 to $180. At this point I thought it would be a good chance to save some money, and have Billcutterz renegotiate a new, lower rate. So I submit the bill, and hear back from them telling me they negotiated a better rate: $150. As in, the rate I had been paying previously. Then they send me the invoice for my "savings" of $360 a year, which they want me to pay half of, so $150 or $15 in 12 monthly payments. So I am now paying the exact same price for cable I had been paying, PLUS giving them $15 on top of that.
Also, their invoice system is absolutely awful. I changed my name (and therefore my debit card) about a month later, and therefore needed to add a new credit card for them to charge. I still have not been able to do this. I've sent emails to customer service asking how I can do this, as I am not comfortable calling them and giving my card info over the phone, but after being told it should be possible to do it from the website, I still have not been able to. And I have clicked EVERY single link on the simple site.
It's partially my fault, for not realizing this was how their business worked, but I was under the impression that there would be some way to review their proposed "savings" before getting locked into it, since in my case I would've just scratched the whole thing had I known they weren't going to get the rate any lower that what I had before.
So, beware that once you give them permission to negotiate the bill for you, there is no taking it back. And lord help you if you need to edit your payment info. Still trying to figure that one out.

BillCutterz Response • Jun 01, 2018

We are very sorry this customer had any inconvenience while working with us. We have reached out to the customer twice by phone and twice by email to attempt to resolve this matter but to no avail. We stand by our work and were successful in negotiating a better rate for this customer…that is our mission. However, the customer had an issue in changing her credit card (we had a technical issue on our website which prevented this) and for that, we sincerely apologize. We offered to take her new information over the phone, but the customer was not willing to provide that information, for which we totally understand. We are hopeful this customer will contact us as we still have the opportunity to make this customer feel good about her experience with BillCutterz.

My representative, Nelda, at BillCutterz, was very helpful in cutting my monthly bills. She was able to save me $50 per month on my cable bill and also helped save on my trash bill as well. She was very helpful. Originally there was an issue with the total amount of savings, but as soon as I brought it to her attention she corrected things on her end and promptly revised my invoice to reflect the appropriate amount. I would highly recommend using BillCutterz.

We are so appreciative when we get accolades from our customers for the services we perform. It is rewarding to hear that after 9 years in business our high standards of service are still adhered to by our agents and the Company as a whole.
Thanks so much! We are delighted we made you happy!

Bill Cutterz did a good job trying to get discounts on my TV service and separate internet service. However, I found very difficult to change my credit card information on their web site. It was eventually changed by phone.

BillCutterz Response • Feb 18, 2018

Thanks so much for working with us. We are sorry you experienced this complication and are working with our payment platform to remediate this issue.

Barry Gross, President

Nelda, my representative at BillCutterz, was very helpful in cutting my cable bill by almost $20 per month. She was very business-like and pleasant to work with. If I need their services again I will certainly call them. I feel this business should be accredited by Revdex.com.

We are so grateful for your positive review regarding our services. We continually strive to make our customers happy, their lives less stressful, and help them save money on their monthly bills.

In June 2017, Billcutterz negotiated to lower my Comcast Xfinity bill on my behalf. In an email from 6/19/17, the Billcutterz representative emailed me and stated she negotiated a lower price "without changing any features on [my] account." Billcutterz then sent me an invoice for $90, half of the savings they negotiated for, and I received a 10% discount for paying in full. I paid $81 to Billcutterz on 6/24/17.

Our original (June 2015-June 2017) service contract with Xfinity included HBO as a permanent part of our package. However, after Billcutterz' negotiation, our next billing statement (July 2017) showed HBO was added by Xfinity as a "courtesy," and was not a permanent part of our new service plan after July 2017.

We recently (December 2017) discovered HBO had actually been removed from our service by Xfinity, indicating that it was only offered as a 6-month courtesy add-on. Thus, Billcutterz failed to negotiate an identical plan for us; instead, they negotiated a similar plan, which substituted the premium channel Starz in exchange for removal of HBO from the package. We did NOT agree to this negotiation, and according to the email from Billcutterz on 6/19/17, believed that HBO would remain a full part of our plan. We were simply emailed an invoice from Billcutterz and instructed to pay immediately, or Billcutterz would turn us over to collections.

As of yesterday 12/26/17, when I first noticed the issue and removal of HBO, I notified Billcutterz that to add HBO back to my Xfinity plan would cost me $90 for the next 6 months, and $180 for the next year (as part of the 2-year contract they negotiated for). Thus, Billcutterz' service has actually cost me additional money, to the tune of $270, in addition to the $81 I've already paid them.

BillCutterz Response • Jan 03, 2018

This customer was sent a refund check by Billcutterz in the amount of $81.00 on December 27, 2017, the day before this complaint to the Revdex.com was filed by the customer.

We are very sorry this customer had a bad experience with our service, we take these matters seriously, and apologize for any incovenience this customer may have experienced.

Sincerely,

I have used this company before with satisfaction. However, this summer that changed. I asked them to negotiate my AT&T U-verse account. They came back with a ridiculous call saying that they couldn't save me more than $40 a month. So I called AT&T and immediately got a better deal than they did. Then they had the nerve to claim that they had gotten the deal and charged me half of the savings of a deal I negotiated. So I l kept trying to contact someone there to get it resolved, to no avail. Last week I get a letter from a collection agency saying I owe over $700. I only saved $742 total on my negotiation. I have tried again to get someone to contact me via telephone or via email, again to no avail.
