To Revdex.com Regarding Claim ID [redacted]Thank you for bringing this to my attention.  Yes, this customer came into my store on 8/13/16 with a friend.  He wanted a McDermott pool cue with an upgrade Predator shaft. The Predator shaft he wanted is an aftermarket shaft.  I went out...

of my way right out of the gate for this customer by purchasing the original McDermott shaft that comes with the cue back from him for $100.00. Generally speaking, when someone wishes to purchase a cue with an aftermarket shaft, they have to pay for the cue with its original shaft plus the upgrade shaft.[redacted] statement that trusting me he did not check the straightness is 100% untrue.  I laid the Predator shaft and the McDermott cue butt on my store table right in front of him , rolled them both separately and showed him they were both perfect.  Then I screwed them together and pointed out that the aftermarket shaft did not align 100% with the McDermott butt, which is more times than not the outcome. The aftermarket shaft was not built for the McDermott butt.[redacted] then shot the modified shaft/butt cue for several minutes on the store table, looked at me and said, “OK, I’ll take it.”  I rang him up; he paid cash for the purchase.  I gave him a register receipt and he left the store a happy camper.I believe it was the following Tuesday [redacted] called me at my store and told me his concern.  I told him that he needed to come to my store with the items, but I don’t take back used equipment.  A day or so later he sent in a gentleman with his cue and receipt asking for a refund.  Just glancing at the cue it was very clear the cue was used and that I would not be able to purchase it back for full price.  I told the gentleman [redacted] needed to come in (the original purchaser) and talk to me.  The gentleman replied that [redacted] works.  I asked him to tell [redacted] to come in the next Saturday when he’s not working. The gentleman said OK and left.  However the same man returned a couple of days later and the same conversation is repeated.I have been in this business for over 20 years and have not stayed in business by deceiving by customers in any way nor have I ever been known in all those years to take back used equipment.  Every customer that walks in is allowed to shoot balls with any cue on my store table and inspect their cues so when they leave my store they know exactly what they have purchased and are happy with their decision.I had someone in my office when [redacted] was here at the store that will vouch he was hitting balls on the store table prior to his purchase.I told him on the day of his purchase, I would be getting more shafts in and we could try them to see if the joint fitting couldn’t be better, but he wanted the equipment “right now”.It saddens me deeply that this customer chose this avenue of reconciliation.  All of my Google and yelp reviews are spot on and picture perfect.I would hate for this customer to have only wanted to be known at this tournament as having high tech, highly engineered laminated Predator equipment, just to return it after using it.I usually only have to deal with this kind of customer at the huge road tournaments I work several times a year, not my local customers.I told [redacted] when he called me after having played with the cue, and I am telling him through the Revdex.com yet again with this unnecessary complaint, that I am still more than willing to work with him.HOWEVER,  1. I can only work with Daniel, the original purchaser, not his buddies he sends in.2. It is going to take time for me to order more Predator shafts in and see IF we can get a better fit, but still there is no guarantee…3. Some kind of compensation has to be worked out between us on the used Predator shaft. In his complaint, [redacted] states he HAD to use the equipment for a day.  NO, he did not, He chose to use it.  He could have used a friend’s, a teammate’s or a house cue.Thank you Revdex.com for allowing me to state the “second side to every story”,Jessi N[redacted]Jessi’s Billiards 911

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:
I have fixed my cue on my own. I took it to a custom cue builder, he spent less than 10 minutes to fix the joint on the shaft for free. I just don't understand why 911 Billiards can't do the sam, instead of offering this and that deal. Just fix the joint and make it straight. I don't care anymore, I just want to forget this experience. If I own a car dealership, I'd never let anyone buy a brand new car that still needs alignment or at least warn the driver alignment is needed. Yes the day I bought it I shot and tested it. But when making thin cuts from long distances, the cue skew will take effect. No, on that day when I bought it, I didn't get a warning about the cue not being straight or having joint problems or any caution that work needed to be done with that brand new cue.
Sincerely,[redacted]
