Billing 911 Ground and Air Ambulance Services, Inc.

The records that I am trying to obtain are in reference to my husband's death. This is a billing company for the services provided to my husband that died. I need copies of the medical report for services rendered to him and also a copy of the ambulance bill associated with all of
this. They are now trying to say that they can't release his records to me until his insurance company pays for the services which is against the law. I don't have anything to provide you as proof to this other than the death certificate for my husband. Please feel free to call me for further clarification

In response to [redacted]'s claim that we would not release records of her husband's death, she is correct.
 
**. [redacted] and **. [redacted] on the 14th and 15th of May had a couple of conversations and advised [redacted] that we needed either:
 
1) An attorney's name and number which she asserted she had retained and then recanted to release the information to or,
 
2) A death certificate proving that she was the surviving spouse.
 
[redacted] refused and subsequently, because she did not provide us with a death certificate, we could not release the records.  It is our company policy not to release
 
HIPPA medical information without the above-mentioned criteria.
 
I am truly sorry for [redacted]'s loss; however, due to our strict industry and company standards, we will not release this information
until we have a death certificate on file.
