A person from this comp. states he is [redacted], selling long-dist. phone serv. Lies abt. being from [redacted] and then ends call inappropriately. He has called twice, claiming he is from [redacted], offering a better way to pay for long-d. calls, yet later in the call 'slips-in' that Billing Srvs. of America would be the ones to handle the billing of long-dist.All it stated on the phone each time this guy called was "Wireless Caller & [redacted]" - Whenever [redacted] has contacted me, they have ALWAYS had their company name on the phone. This guy also became VERY frustrated with me because I was VERY VERY hesitant to sign up with his 'program' & in the 1st call 'spat' back to me "It's not my responsibility to convince you where I'm from". (i.ie which company he is truly from/representing). He also started griping to me about the call taking more than 5 minutes. The second phone call on 4/30, it was [redacted] again - the SAME guy - trying to convince me again. I asked him for a website where I could see/read the official terms that he/[redacted] was offering and he hangs up on me. He claimed again that he was from Billing Services of America. Each time after these phone calls, I contacted Billing Services of America & they have brushed off this problem & this inappropriate behavior of this 'sales' person. They claim there in NO phone number to get in contact with [redacted]'s manager - so that I can speak DIRECTLY to [redacted]'s mgr. - not only abt. his outright lies, but his inappropriate behavior. I have been told last week & yesterday that I would be called back THAT day -& MORE LIES from Billing Serv. of Amer. No return call from the mgr. I had to call them back & the attitude/tone of voice that you hear from them is that they are truly just brushing you off. They ask you a question, yet when you are answering it they interrupt you again & again & again. Very rude people at this company Desired SettlementI want to speak to [redacted]'s DIRECT boss, or the head-person/ CEO of this company. I also want the phone number of the sales dept. where [redacted] works, & want to know if he should also be giving out an ID # when he calls so they can easily identify who he is.I also want to know why the supervisors did not seem to think [redacted]'s MISREPRESENtATION of saying he was calling FROM [redacted] was an outright lie, seems to be OK, & NEITHER supervisor seemed to think that was any problem, and want to know how [redacted]'s mgr. or person above his mgr. will be addressing [redacted] misprepresenting himself & [redacted] - his outright lie about that.Business Response Billing Services of America, Inc. Billing Services of America, Inc. has worked to provide the Bureau with all pertinent information within its control regarding this matter.According to [redacted], a sales representative operating on behalf of Billing Services of America, Inc. contacted her business and misrepresented the company's identity and services. She also indicates that the representative used inappropriate behavior during the sales call. Through an investigation of [redacted]'s complaint, the company has determined the following: [redacted] is not currently and never has been customer of Billing Services of America, Inc. Billing Services of America, Inc. did not switch [redacted]'s service from its current long distance carrier, and would never submit a PIC-change request until the order had been duly verified according to FCC rules.Billing Services of America, Inc. takes [redacted]'s allegations regarding the sales representative seriously and has addressed the details of the complaint with the telemarketing agency responsible for the contact with [redacted]. Billing Services of America, Inc. strongly condemns misrepresentations as alleged by [redacted] and it takes many preventative actions to ensure that misrepresentations of this type do not occur.Billing Services of America, Inc. is a corporation duly organized under the laws of Nevada, and is a reseller of telecommunications services pursuant to the terms of federal and several state authorizations. Its business address is [redacted]. Billing Services of America, Inc. offers its customers flat-rate long distance services with convenient, single-bill billing.Billing Services of America, Inc. does not market its services through its own employees, but rather uses independent, professional telemarketing firms. Billing Services of America, Inc. offers specific guidelines to these telemarketing agencies regarding the service of Billing Services of America, Inc.'s. Billing Services of America, Inc. tracks all sales made by each telemarketing agent and agency, and requires third-party verification before compensating agents. Billing Services of America, Inc. takes many thorough steps to insure that all those whom it may contract with for marketing purposes properly represent its identity, products and services. Among these steps are strict adherence to selling guidelines, third-party verification and welcome packages for all new sales. Further, Billing Services of America, Inc. will terminate its contract with any marketing agencies not adhering to its strict standards, especially those involving misrepresentation. The telemarketer responsible for contact with [redacted] is no longer marketing on behalf of Billing Services of America, Inc. Sales agents are not compensated until an independent third party, according to state and federal rules, verifies the sale. The verification process is the final safeguard against any possible misrepresentation to the consumer. Billing Services of America, Inc. believes that no attentive consumer could complete the full sale and verification process without being fully informed as to the company's identity, services and rates. As demonstrated by its consistent application of the verification system, Billing Services of America, Inc. has absolutely no interest in committing misrepresentation of any kind.
