Mark Billings started out as a nice guy. Our quote seemed low at first, but we were first time home buyers so we weren't sure what to expect regarding pricing and he was so nice! However, when he did some work on our home (brand new roof, window installation, electric work,etc), he didn't do the best job. We later found out that he hadn't pulled a permit for the electric work he started! We could of gotten fined for this. This is a huge homeowner problem. When we let him go from the job due to poor roof installation (there were corners lifting and step flashing and stack vents were improperly shingled), and illegal electric work, he came back to our home and ripped out all of the electric he installed (in the process he actually broke our radon pump) and that resulted us in having to rewire the whole house. Well, he then claimed the full amount of what he was owed despite the damage he caused and the poorly conducted work he performed. At this point we wanted him to come fix the violations he made to our roof, and he won't. To me: He received the money for the job and he should make the job worthy of the money he already received. He won't, I believe this is not only really disappointing but very unethical! Please steer clear of this contractor. I would hate for any other family to suffer from this man's unqualified skills and greed. Thank you.
