I am rejecting this response because:Quote  "To sum up the matter-this is an rent house in the slums of Port Arthur and whomever supplies the vinyl also supplies the seam sealer." [redacted]Evidently the quality of Mr [redacted] work is determined by the location & type of dwelling he works at & blames his mistakes on other people. When we agreed on the job price Mr [redacted] never said anything about Quote:  "Whomever supplies the vinyl also supplies the seam sealer." I was told this when I discovered the seams were left undone & he was paid in full. I have had many vinyl floor installations in the past & all the seams where included in the initial price. To sum up the matter- If you want holes burnt in your carpet & your flooring job left undone... This is your man.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Yes , he helped me take the vinyl into the kitchen, because he had just walked in when I had finished cutting the vinyl. It was nothing that I could not do by myself. He wanted me to install the vinyl without...

adhesive. With this method of installation one must cut the vinyl so that it does not touch cabinets, wall, or door jam because the vinyl will pucker. Now, in the bath room the plywood was not properly installed. It was obvious the carpenter did not know  what he was doing. He is supposed to stop the plywood under where the door closes. Instead, he installed the plywood thru the door jam and into the edge of the hall. This made it unnecessarily difficult to cut the jam. So, if he had installed the plywood properly or used glue this incident would not have occured. When he came by my house to pay me the next day he was pleased with everything and even mentioned that he would like me to do more work for him and he said that,"he saw the place where the jams  touched the carpet and it was fine that the flat metal transition strip would cover most of it up." Now later that Friday night he calls me around 9p.m.and the wife and I was out were out with friends and he is wanting to know why I did not put seam sealer on a seam that is 6 inches from the wall where the stove goes, and I said that the seam sealer I  had in the van had dried up. The purpose of the seam sealer is to keep water from getting under the vinyl and lose the glue which makes the vinyl curl up, but there is no glue and no one is going to see it anyway when the stove is in. {crazy} I told him that I would look in my storage building to see if I had a good bottle. The next morning (Sat.) I call him but no answer and I informed that I had found an good bottle of seam sealer and would go and put it on and just call me. He never called.  To sum up the matter-this is an rent house in the slums of Port Arthur and whomever supplies the vinyl also supplies the seam sealer. [redacted]
