landscape companies for bids however no one was getting back to her except the company who did the original work, the work needing to be redone, and and that they gave her an "astronomical price". We did get back to her quickly with a very fair price. She signed our contact and put down a deposit on the work and called to negotiate. We did agree to do some additional work at no extra charge for her. With all this I feel we were exceeding expectations and our competition and that pattern would have continued. On the Wednesday we were to begin our first day of about a 2 week outdoor landscape project it was raining. Obviously people were not working out doors that day. Furthermore we would not be able to complete the work as leveling sand for the pavers would not be possible in those conditions and our equipment would leave tracks in wet lawn. The following day was Thanksgiving and we feel it is important for our employees to spend the holidays with their families so we did not work that day. On Friday when I spoke to Mrs. [redacted] she told us not to come and to cancel work. We did try several times to rectify the situation with no settlement. We have done great work in the community for 30 years and would have appreciated the opportunity to continue to do so at Mrs. [redacted] property but as she has cancled the contract we will be refunding Mrs. [redacted] deposit by check in the mail.
