Bill's Power Center, Inc.

I had to take my new Snapper mower to Bills power center for warranty work. He is the only "authorized" dealer anywhere close to the Milwaukee metro area to work on Briggs lawn mower engines. The engine almost completely drained out all of the oil through the air cleaner. (while I was cutting the lawn) This has never happened in all of the years I have owned any power mower. I took it to Bills and told them what happened. They said it would take a week. I went to pick it up a week later, and was told I OWE $58.87. I said it was warranty work an don't owe a cent. They said it was customer neglect. I argued with 2 people and got nowhere. They said when they checked the mower, it was OVERFILLED with oil, and that is what caused the oil to drain out of the air cleaner. I told them the engine was almost OUT of oil when I brought it in to them because most of the oil was all over my driveway and leaking down the mower. They said they had to drain some oil out and replace the air filter, and they ran it for an hour and a half and no oil came out of the filter. I had to pay the money for them to replace the filter and run the mower. Nobody would budge when I complained intensely, so I had to pay the bill to get my mower back. I have always heard that this place overcharges for everything and stayed clear of them completely, but I had to go there in this instance.
