Review: This auto care shop takes advantage of women by charging outrageous prices for service. On 8/15/2013, my wife took our car in for a bad battery. They charged her $447.52 -- $296.86 for the battery (which could have been purchased for $160.00) and $124.97 for an hour of labor (replacing the battery and cleaning a battery terminal does not take more than 15 minutes). (Further, the receipt for the work did not identify the brand or model number of the battery) Unfortunately, my wife did not check with me before authorizing the work. In my dicussions with the service representative (Joe), I was willing to informally resolve the matter and take my lumps for a $95 cash refund (even though my wife was overcharged by about $250). Joe's boss refused the cash refund. A woman should not have to rely on a husband or boyfriend to determine whether cost of repairs are reasonable.Desired Settlement: I was previously willing to settle this matter informally for $95. That offer is off the table. The cost of settlement is now $250.00
