Bill's TV Service Reviews (3)

Review: I called the business to request an estimate to install an outdoor TV antenna at our home in Riverton, NJ. Mr. [redacted] wrote a quote on June 1, 2013 and collected a $150 deposit check payable to "[redacted]" (1/3 of the quote amount), promising to get back to us with an installation schedule. No phone calls followed so I called and asked for an appointment. After at least 3 attempts to schedule an appointment, and no service call or other communication was forthcoming from the business, I called and asked to cancel my order and have my $150 deposit refunded to me (my check had been cashed by business). I was told several times by an employee named [redacted] and by [redacted] as well that the refund check would be forthcoming but nothing has happened.Desired Settlement: Send me a check for a full refund of my $150 deposit, as promised.

Review: I had a representative from Bill's TV repair come to my home on July 15th, 2013 to look at my damaged television. They quotes me a price of $220 to repair a damaged "[redacted]" adapter. They needed half the money as a deposit ($110) at time of signing a contract and the rest when they would come back with the part to repair. They estimated that they would be back in 2 days. I never heard from them.

After 1 week I reached out to the company and they said that they would receive the part in 2 days and they would call me. After 4 days of not hearing back I called again and heard the same thing. I just called them again today July 30 which is 2 weeks from when they were to come and complete the service and they said that the part would be in in 2 days.Desired Settlement: I would like them to return my $110 deposit for services not performed and for the Revdex.com to investigate this company. There are many complaints filed against this company how come they have not had a state legal entity look into this? How are hey legally still in business when they defraud customers?

Review: I had a 46" Samsung flat screen tv that I had taken to Bill's Tv Repair, [redacted] because the screen had went "black" and there was no picture. The volume, lights and sound worked perfectly fine and there was not one scratch on my television at time of drop off which was October 24, 2013. I was told to call in approximately 1-2 weeks to see what was wrong with the television and if I wanted them to proceed with the repair. I had called and was told it would cost $160.00 to repair in addition to the $40.00 I already had given them to give me an estimate. I said yes to proceed and fix it.

After 2-3 more weeks passed I did not hear from anyone and called to see what the status was and if and when my tv was fixed? I was told that they did not get to it yet and to try calling in another week. I called in a week and still not finished and was told they would get back to me. I did not here from them for weeks and I started calling and leaving messages....finally after approximately 3 months they called me and said they were having a hard time finding the part and will call me in another week. Another week went by and no phone call. At this point my father had stopped in their store and still nothing changed and was told again to call in a week. By this time it was January 2014 and I had enough of waiting and just wanted my television back, I was now being told they were moving around the corner and cannot find my tv? I then went to the new store and there were televisions stacked on top of each other, lined up against walls and piled in a [redacted] truck with no protection at all. I told the owner I wanted my television and he told me he could not find it that it might be in another storage facility and will call me in another week. This went on for weeks still nothing and no television. I told him that I want my tv the way I left it with them or $500, he said no. He called on 02/24/2014, he found my tv and that they damaged it in storage and broke the screen.Desired Settlement: My television that I had taken to them was purchased approximately 4 years ago for approx $1000.00 and when taken to Bill's Tv Repair it was looked brand new, not one scratch, the volume, power and sound worked perfect. I feel that $500 reimbursement is a fair settlement to put towards the same exact television that I had. This repair shop had my television since October 24, 2013 - present and now with further damage due to their negligence.
