Ms *** did drop her car off to have the roof repainted and that was what we did was refinish the roof panelWhen she came back shortly after leaving she said nothing about the console lid being jammed as she stated in her complaintShe said
that the lid was not working properly , so my shop manager went out with her to take a look at it He looked at the lid and saw that the lid was pushed too far in like it had been pushed really hard trying to get it to come openHe offered to remove it so that she could go on to work and not be late to her job and the answer that she gave him was that it didn't matter if she was late or notMy manager then took the console out of the vehicle to see if he could determine what was wrong with it and to see if it could be fixed What he found was that when it was pushed in the tabs that the lid pivots on had been broken off due to it being pushed in too farThe pins that were broken off are very small and easily broken I would assume due to them being so smallAt this time I told Ms *** that I would try and find her a part to replace it as a good faith measure since I have worked on her vehicle before and wanted to keep Ms *** happyNot at any time did I tell her that the part was broken here we painted the roof of this vehicle and had no reason whats so ever to have even touched her console so I am certain that this piece wasn't broken by my staffShe told my manager that it was something that she rarely used so who really knows when it was broken prior to coming into the shop She stated that I disrespected her and didn't do as I promised well I never promised to do anything nor did I admit that this part was broken by my staff I simply told her that I would try and find a part for her vehicleWhen she called she called to ask if the part was here at the shop not to speak with meHer mother called and asked to speak with me and I was paged to the phone in which I answered her call At that time I discussed with her what had happened and that I was still willing to find the part and at that time she told me that she was not happy and she did not want me to get the part for them that her daughter was probably more interested in giving me a bad review thru the Revdex.com than she was getting her car repaired or that's how I felt or she would have said to go ahead and get the part for her especially since in her resolution all she wanted was to have her car fixed in which I never not one time told her that I wouldn't fix the part that I fell she brokeThe disrespected one is myself for her claiming that my staff broke something that she seldom uses when in fact she cannot say with 100% certainty that it was broken at Bills Body Shop All I can do is offer to get the part for her and if she doesn't want that then I guess she can bad mouth me all she wants

I had left several messages to speak with Bill and never received a phone callWhen my Mother decided to call (making this the fourth phone call we had made), she finally spoke with BillThe point of this complaint wasn't to "bad mouth" Bill or his businessIt was to show the need for him to be 100% honest with his customers from the beginningBill never told me that he wasn't sure that the piece in my car wasn't broken at his shop, instead, he told me that he would find a piece for my car and fix itIf Bill felt that it wasn't broken at his shop then he should have told me the same day that I picked my car up instead of waiting to make the statement "well, I guess I should have told her that I didn't think it was broken at my shop" to my Mother almost a month later on the phoneBill left me with the impression that he would take responsibility for it and would fix itHopefully in the future he will be 100% honest with his customers and will be sure that he and his customers have a clear understanding of the situationI am not satisfied with with this response because a solution wasn't clearly statedBill made the statement that he would get the part for me but did not clarify if he would put it in or pay for it? There needs to be a clearer solution stated from Bill
