Billy Bags Pro-Stands Design

Review: Billy Bags produced an audio stand for me in 2010. I had purchased a similar stand from them several years earlier, but this one needed to hold heavier components. When I placed the order, Jean and her team said I would not need a middle leg for support if they used larger diameter outer legs. I was reluctant, but they said they would add extra reinforcement under the bottom shelf to keep the unit from sagging. Contrary to Billy Bags' promise, the unit has begun to sag in the middle, to the extent that I cannot level my components on the top shelf. Billy Bags stands are made of welded steel, and they should last a lifetime.

I contacted the owner of Billy Bags (Whorf)a few months ago and informed him of the problem. He asked me for pictures, and after receiving pictures he said he would try and find a fabricator, but emphasized he did not have this business anymore. When I inquired of him several days later, he became overly sensitive to the verbiage in my email and told me he would not communicate with me any further.Desired Settlement: I have ordered new stands from another manufacturer. I would like some kind of refund from Billy Bags, because I was assured by them that this stand would not sag. I bought this stand specifically for the extra support, and it has not performed as specified by the manufacturer. My other Billy Bags stands have performed perfectly, and will last a lifetime.
