Bin Treasures Reviews (%countItem)

I was at the store & one of the employees sold me a shirt. The owner came up to me & said the shirt is not for sale my associate puts these online to sell.
He gave me my money back. The store clearly says no refunds. Then why can they take back something they sold! After I complained online they told
me to come back to the store & get the item. I responded when I would be coming in. I go to the store, the owner avoids me & the lady (his wife) working
the register told me that they donated it. Really you tell me to come & get it & you donated it. First they don’t want to sell it, and then they tell me to come back for it,
then they donated it before I get there which wasn’t even a week. Something is not on the up & up with this place. Poor customer service & lie to get you in the store.
They also claim everything is new, which it is not.

Bin Treasures Response • Feb 19, 2020

I am responding to the letter I received for the complaint you received against my store Bin Treasures located at 1033 Northfield Road, Northfield, Ohio. I would like for you to know what really happened and hope that you take my response into account on how the Revdex.com will rate our store. First of all I would like to clarify that the person that placed the complaint with your office is not the customer, the customer that was in the store was her husband. Our store is a “Bin Store” that sells overstock and surplus items with set prices that decrease thru the week; starting at $10 on Saturdays and going down to $1 on Fridays. Then we restock after hours for the following week which starts on Saturdays at 10am.

We have two registers at the front of the store where customers pay for the items they are buying.

Due to our lack of space until the remainder of the store is renovated and opened, NEW stock for Saturday is staged at the back of the store. Temporary workers from the stocking company, who are not employees of Bin Treasures, LLC assist with staging of this stock, which is not for sale until Saturday at 10:00am when our store opens.

Handing a $10 to one of the temporary workers in the back room for an item in next week’s stock and having the temporary worker bring the item and the $10 up to the registers on $1 Friday does not constitute a sale. Sales occur at the front of the store at the registers for stock for that week. The jersey and the $10 was placed next to the register. When the customer came to the front of the store and asked for his jersey, my wife was made aware of who wanted to buy the jersey from the following week’s stock. She asked who gave him the jersey and he hesitated to answer. He knew that he was trying to buy something early. My wife left the front register to go to the back of the store to speak with me. I came to the front of the store and told the customer that the jersey is not in this week’s stock. The customer knew this already because he would not have given $10 when everything in the store is $1 on Fridays.

If we sold stock early it would not be fair to our loyal customers that wait in line on Saturday mornings to find their $10 treasures.

The customer’s wife immediately placed bad comments on Google and Facebook stating that she would never come back into the store and would tell other people not to come in either. I attempted to make everyone happy, so I placed the jersey on a hanger with a sold ticket on it Saturday morning. The customer’s wife was notified via social media by our Social Media consultant, Technical Overflow NEO, to come purchase it. The customer never contacted nor replied via social media to us on when they would be coming in to purchase the jersey as she stated on her complaint. You can confirm that with our consultant if you wish. After 3 days, since the customer did not come into the store to purchase the jersey per our original response, the item, a Chicago Bulls Michael Jordan jersey, was donated to the Nordonia Varsity Hockey Association Wing Ding Fundraiser raffle which is Saturday February 29, 2020.

The following Friday, one week later, the customer came to purchase the jersey. He was informed outside prior to the store opening that the jersey had been donated. He was informed that it had been hung behind the register with “Sold” on it for 3 days (Saturday, Sunday, and Monday). After that time our assumption was he would not be coming back, so it was donated to the Nordonia Varsity Hockey Association Wing Ding Fundraiser. Even after he was informed he still came into our store and made a purchase.

The husband, not the wife, handed the $10 to the temporary worker and he has since shopped in the store.

*** has also bad mouthed us on social media a few times under different accounts. Our consultant investigated it with Google and Facebook and can tell it is from the same person because of timing of posts and other items that I am not sure of. I have also attached a specific post from the lady that we donated the jersey to and the response that was placed on her original post by ***. Once again not telling the truth. We had no choice but to ban her and her husband from the store. Even with them being banned, one of my employees stated that he tried to come into the store again this Sunday, which he was asked to politely leave.

If you need any additional information, please do not hesitate in contacting me via email or phone.

We are a new business and our rating is important to us. I hope you understand our position and that you rule favorably for our business.

Thank You, Pavlos P

Customer Response • Feb 19, 2020

I am rejecting this response because:
The guy who
sold us the jersey never indicated he couldn’t do this. He asked if we wanted
to buy it & indicated it would be $10 so we said yes.

We weren’t’
trying to hide anything or we would have taken the jersey to our car once we paid him for it. We asked the employee to take it up front & we

would get it
when we checked out so they would no we paid for it & not stealing it. When asked who gave us the jersey, there was no hesitation.
We didn’t
know who he was, so we described
him. Him selling
things early has nothing to do with fairness. The owner told us he sells it
online & he even admitted this
when he tried to bully us into removing a post that was
truthful. I only posted 1 review. The
other people I was in the store with posted one. And we did leave a
reply on
the original post stating what day we would
be in & when I went back on google the original post was removed for hateful
comments (the store complained).
Otherwise
he would be able to show you his
post stating to come back to the store to get it, which he can’t because he had
the post removed. You can confirm this with google.
And yes the people who
stock the store are their employees. You can ask *** or *** or anyone of
them, or check it out on a Friday you will see. I do not like posting bad

things about
stores, but he clearly is not telling the truth – he is giving half-truth &
what he thinks will make him look upstanding. It is clear that both of us see what

transpired
a different way. I would have removed the post but by him trying to blame us
for shopping in his store instead of putting the blame where it should be is frustrating.

And he still continues
to blame the customer (us) instead of admitting this all could have been handle a different way.
And since this is a new business I hope they learned how not to treat customers.
