in response of Mrs*** complaint,My name is Lonnie R*** and I am the General Monager of Binegar's Truck Auto & Camper Sales and I am also the one who talked with Mrs*** when she brought her 5th wheel comper in to the lotFirst off Mrs*** never called and got any quote her
mother called and talked with me asking if we would work on her daughters camper and I said yes we would, she then ask me how much an entire owning would cost for the unit and replied around $to $installedThen she asked me what a jack would cost and a tire cover, replied the jack is around $and the fire cover around the same amount I have those in stock, she said her daughter would probably bring it in on the weekend, I replied that would be fineWhen Mrs*** and her husband came in that Saturday we went over what she wanted done, she asked about the awning I told her the same thing I told her mother on the phone around $to $dollars, she then asked if that was installed and I said yes, she then ask about the jack I told her they were around $she then ask about a fender skirt (which is totally different then a tire cove her mother had inquired about), I said I would have to look those up for her camper is a model and I didn't know if the company would still have these available I told her we would look at our catalog inside and see what we could getShe fold me she wanted the entire roof sealed and coated and the caulking around the entire camper done and washed & waxedIexplained to her that resealing an entire roof is pretty labor intensive, that it has to be Completely washed and cleaned let dry rewash with the rubber roof activator rewashed and then the sides would have to be washed so it did not streak them then let it completely dry, then coat the top which the manufacture says should do coats then you also have drying time in between the coatsI told her that depending on what we would have to do on the roof as far as the lap sealant around everything on the roof it would probably cost her around $to a $1,000.00, Also explained to her we don't do detailing so we wouldn't wax itShe then replied that they would hold off on the owning until springWe then went inside and I showed her the aftermarket fender skirts in the catalog which was listed for $154.00, I told her I would look on *** website and see if they still had the original ones available and I would contact her later and let her know if they were and how muchShe then asked about a kitchen faucet I showed her what we hold in stock and me and her decided on ordering the one in the catalog.Never at anytime during our conversation did she question the pricesWhile me and her were inside her husband unhooked the camper, she explained they had a wedding to go to that evening and they were in no hurry for their camperThey then left our place of business, I looked up the fender skirts on *** website and they were showing they were still availableI sent her a text and told her they are still showing those fender skirts available they are $each do you want to replace both, because while we were outside earlier her husband had ask about replacing both because their other one was cracked also and if I could put washers behind the screws to help to keep them from cracking againHer reply to me was in a text and told me to disregard, that they had talked to her dad and brother and it didn't cost that to seal their campers, that they had called *** and it was half the price of us and they are on their way back to plck it back upThanksA little while later her husband came back came in and got the keys and asked if it was alright to leave it and pick it up later after the weddingI replied that would be fineNever did we tell her it was because she didn't buy it here, because she never questioned our pricesWe did not do the same service for her brother we replaced a few 2x2's and in one front corner of his unit and re-caulked that corner and then checked the rest of the roof for any lap sealant that needed to be touched upShe never questioned the prices to us she even left her camper with us and leftShe never asked for a quote in writing because if she had we would have gave it to her, She never had a problem until after she left our shopMrs*** then preceded to slander us on social media (***)They came that evening, I suppose offer we closed, and got their camper because it was gone the next day when I came in to he shopI have been in the retail business for almost 30yrs and Mrs*** does not realize that prices are different all across the country and in every county and town, due to different economic demands and availabilityI really believe that this was all a miscommunication as far as what her mother was asking for and what she was asking forI don't understand why she was saying she questioned us about the pricing because she did notWhen all is said and done we did not perform any services for Mrs***, no money exchanged hands, she was just not happy with our prices and choose not to use usI do not feel that this is grounds for a complaintEveryone shops around to try to find the best deal they can, but in my experiences the cheapest deal isn't always the best for quality of work performed.Sincerely, Lonnie R*** (Original document attached)
