We do not warranty in any way shape or form products that customers bring to us. We told him this up front that if there is a problem he will be charged to remove and replace it and he agreed to it. The transmission and vehicle were delivered back in June, but since there was another
vehicle being worked on, we explained to him his would be started when that one was done. When the vehicle came in we started on it, took his old transmission out (which was locked and geared and we had to pay to get towed him - which I did not charge him for). We took his transmission out and put in the one he brought. We had already put it in then noticed the broken plug from the person before dropping it. We had to switch pans as well so we would have a good one to put on it. We went above and beyond to make this situation right. We found out it did not shift right because of the computer wiring harness being dropped when they took it from the vehicle at the salvage yard. Quality Transmission told him the same thing as we did - we cannot warranty parts that they provide. I explained this is why we don't prefer used transmissions because we don't want customers to go through this, as it happens so often. To my knowledge, when he came to pick up his car and pay the bill, he was satisfied and happy. He even said he wanted me to do more future work for him

I am rejecting this response because: When I called business to find out if my car was ready to be picked up, I was told that there were problems with the electrical system. I told them to contact **'s salvage since it was under warranty and the transmission would be replaced since they would replace it with another. He did say that I could pick up the car as it was running as is but would only be able to drive it in low gear I instructed him not to work on electrical system and to call Al's for another transmission. He elected on his own and against my request to work on the electrical system, he took it to another business and they said it would be about $plus $for a report for taking the car over to Quality Transmission Service. In the meantime, Al's sent over another transmission with 55,miles on it I have letters from **'s Salvage and Quality Transmission Service to verify this information
