Binny Mart Reviews (5)

Review: I purchased 3/4 of a tank of gasoline from Binny Mart on 27 June at ~ 7:10 pm. After driving several miles, my car stopped. I had my car towed to [redacted] Toyota and they found water in the gas tank as well as a substance they described as the same consistency as mucous. [redacted] Toyota are keeping this contaminant for reference. My car is garage kept and the gas cap is locked. The only possible way for water and contaminant to get into the tank (and the fuel system) is via gasoline.

I called Binny Mart to ask to speak to the manager regarding the gasoline. The manager has not returned my calls.Desired Settlement: Would like Binny Mart to have their gasoline tested for water and contaminants. If water and / or contaminant is found in their system, I would like them to pay for the flushing of my fuel system by [redacted] Toyota.

Review: My son pumped bad gas into his car at his station that was a known problem from business owner on June 27.I had to take off of work and rescue my son's dead car at the pumps of his station. My son and brother witnessed the gas company test the gas and found severe water in it.I had to get it towed to my mechanic and the bad gas pumped from the vehicle.I have the bad gas as a sampleThe owner assured me that he would pay for the bad gas I put into vehicle and reimbursed me for the $20.What my son put in.He told me to get a receipt from my mechanic and submit it to him for payment $ 175.00 I gave him that on 7/3/132 weeks later I approached the business owner for my payment and he said I need to submit on my car insurance?I demanded payment and he said he was not going to pay me.I lost $150 of wages rescuing my son that day$175 to pump the bad gas from my car$80 to tow the car from the pumps and he refuses to pay the $ 175.00 I originally asked and he agreed to.He should pay as he agreed to without my insurance involvementDesired Settlement: Pay up .Several other customers were affected also in that period and he knew there was a problem with the gas,but claims it wasn;t his fault. Its his business and it is his fault. If my car would have went to dealer the costs would be over $1000.00I cut him a break and he abused me.!

Review: On 6/14/2013 I purchased 14.66 gallons of gasoline for $50.00 for my 2010 KIA Sedona at 9:10am. After leaving the station and traveling less than 2 miles, my van stopped working and would not restart. At 9:19am, I had to call [redacted] to have my van towed to the dealership. After the dealership reviewed the van they stated that the fuel tank was full of water and that is why the vehicle would not start and stated that I should contact the station for a refund of the gasoline. The dealership noted they will write this on the work order as well and keep a sample of the gasoline removed from the tank. I contacted the station (June 14, 2013 at 2:45pm)and [redacted] noted that he could not help me because the gas came from [redacted] and that he checks his tanks on a daily basis. He did offer for me to come to the station now and he would test the tanks again. I denied because I was at work and already missed one hour of work today. He noted that he does not keep records of the his checks. It has been five and a half hours since my purchase, the gas is now different from what it was at 9:00am. I now have a bill totalling $289.00 plus tax from the dealer and spent $50.00 for so called gas that could not be used.Desired Settlement: I would like the $50.00 returned to me as cash and the total expenses for the repairs for my van. My van was in working condition before the gas purchase.

Regards,

Review: I stopped to fill my car with gas at 10:20 am. on Friday, June 7, at Binny Mart located at [redacted]., [redacted] PA, [redacted]. After purchasing $53.33 worth of grade 87 gas listed at 3.419 per gallon, my car, a 2011 Kia, stalled exactly one mile from the station at [redacted]. It would not re-start. We have a receipt for proof of gas purchase from Binny Mart. [redacted] Auto Club was called at 10:27 AM. and they towed the car to [redacted] Kia, located at [redacted], Pa. [redacted]. We have a receipt from [redacted] that verifies the call was made at this time. Technicians at [redacted] discovered that I had received bad fuel, that was cloudy with solid particles floating around in the fuel. Total cost to have the gas tank and fuel lines cleaned and 5 gallons of good gas to flush the tank was $345.51. We have a [redacted] receipt that explains the repair work needed and we also have a gas sample for proof. We would like to have our cost covered by Binny Mart. We tried contacting them to make them aware that they may have issues, but our request was greeted with an arrogant, angry and defensive reply.Desired Settlement: We would like a refund of $53.33 for the bad gas and also $345.51 for the damage it caused to our vehicle. We were under the opinion that we were purchasing safe fuel for our car.

Review: I pumped gas from Binny Mart, [redacted], PA on 6/3/13 at 9:24am and travelled less than 2 miles before my check engine, brake, vehicle dynamics, and cruise lights began flashing. After evaluation from my mechanic, it was found that the fuel was contaminated with water. I presented a report from the mechanic and a sample from my tank (very clear separated layers 1/2 gas, 1/2 water) to the owners of Binny Mart; however, they deny any responsibility.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for the gas purchase $47.84 plus the cost of the car repair $307.19. Total settlement cost $355.03. I do have all receipts to demonstrate proof of costs incurred as a result of contaminated fuel from Binny Mart.
