Mrs [redacted] rented one of our Accelerated Recovery Systems -Cold Therapy- Game Ready Units on May 23, She used it for days and after that called our office in two different occasions to extend the rental period for one week eachShe called on 06/27/to request a pick up and we did so on 06/28/Since day one we explained that this service was going to be a private rental and never promised an insurance reimbursement for her expenses considering the following facts: #We are not contracted providers with Horizon Bc/BsNJ under our Tax ID [redacted] suffix B for DME items#Bc/BSNJ Medical Policy Number under DME section= https://services3.horizon-bcbsnj.com/hcm/MedPol2.nsf/bccf5eb6070a [redacted] 1ac000eabf4/c0613c9fa5e094ae85257db7003e1d14?OpenDocument&Highlight=0,e0218shows... Kindly, refer back to fact # 1 mentioned on the first response: #1 We are not contracted providers with Horizon Bc/BsNJ under our Tax ID [redacted] suffix B for DME items. That means that whatever you were told by Bc/Bs was not accurate. The explanations you received from them show a wrong Tax ID and consequently a wrong response. We have received a new explanation of benefits upon our claim resubmission of 02/10/15. The new EOB shows patient's responsibility over the billed amount of $491.00 which you have already paid for. I meant that they are contracted with Blue Cross and Blue Cross says I should not have paid any money to biodynamics

Active and passive cooling devices are not considered medically necessary. 2. Combination active cooling and compression (cryopneumatic) devices are considered investigational. In addition, we do not have a Capitated Contract with Bc/BsNJ or any other carrier therefore there is not contract money paid to Bio Dynamic for services provided to her or any other customer. The only payment we have gotten for providing services to Mrs. [redacted] is the $491.0 she paid us with her Visa card. It starts with the lift. BioDynamics, strategically located around the corner from HSS, is only accessible if you can't walk stairs by a sidewalk lift that hangs perilously between the sidewalk and the entrance when it stalls because the gate doesn't shut properly. Leaving was easier, one employee operated the lift the other stood downstairs and held the gate shut. I was sent there to be fitted for a cam boot walker for my broken ankle and in the medical community they are known to actually fit the boots, not just sell them. It doesn't quite work that way. After a surreal discussion with the tech on whether or not I needed my crutches--left in the other room--she couldn't grasp that I had brought crutches along with the wheelchair I was sitting in--and if I had crutches why wasn't I walking on them--my aide and I rolled our eyes--the boot came next. My doctor had recommended I get fitted even though I couldn't use it for another two weeks--It meant unwrapping the ace bandage and removing the half cast, sliding on a boot and rewrapping it. Hard to explain to her that we had no plans to wear the boot yet. She asked my shoe size and reappeared with the two sizes they carry (despite their claim "We carry a full line of state-of-the-art products") they have one brand and it only comes in two sizes. She started to unwrap my bandage but when she understood she would have to wrap it back up, she changed her mind, put the boot on the good foot, the smaller was better but we were concerned it wouldn't be wide enough to accommodate the swelling--her solution--bring it back--and then she demonstrated manually how to work the Velcro straps and when I remarked it had an air pump--I've been booted before, she showed me the buttons. I could have done just as well on Amazon. So much for fitting and customizing. Any medical supply store could have done as well and most of them in NYC are really handicapped accessible.

My satisfaction rating with this Company is below zero.
I was fitted for a knee brace at the Dr.' office. The device fit me poorly, pressing on my shin bone, causing bruising. When I called Customer Care, I was told that they neither accept returns, nor give refunds. And this was the least of it. I received a bill for $453 for my portion of the bill, which is 50% of the bill, thus the Insurance company had paid over $453 already.
I noticed at this point that the brace is not by this company, which is what I was led to believe at the doctor's office, but another manufacturer and when I checked on Amazon, I saw the exact same brace for $70! They are charging over $900 for a brace available commercially and RETAIL for$70! This is beyond outrageous.

Review: I visited a Dr. to have my knew looked at. He wrote a prescription for a knee brace. I was fitted for the knee brace at the Bio Dynamic Technologies NY office and paid with my Health Savings card. The next day tried to put on the brace and it did not fit right. Have tried numerous times to get it to fit and it just has never been right. Called Bio Dynamic to return the brace, but they will not accept returns. They said they could have a technician come out and refit device, but I do not think that will make a difference as every time I try to use the device something is different about how it fits. I would just like them to take it back. The brace is not helping my leg, when I can get it on it causes pain to the back of my knew, it is just not a quality device.Desired Settlement: I would just like to be able to send the device back to them and have my account credited.

Review: I have spent months trying to resolve a $66 charge. I was initially told not to pay the bill and that insurance companies would pay it. I then received additional bills, charges and phone calls. I called and asked to pay they bill. They offered me a discounted rate of $45 and then did not process the charge to my credit card. More bills and phone calls asking me to pay. I called again and got the same resolution and promise that my credit card would be charged that day and the a receipt would be sent. This did not happen again. More bills, more calls asking me to pay. I called today and asked for the full amount to be charged to my credit card. I have been assured that this will be resolved but have no confidence. I'm not sure why a company won't take payment. Very frustrating and a waist of a huge amount of my time.Desired Settlement: Charge my card - take your payment and please stop bothering me and my family! When your customer service dept. says that they will call back - they should!
