Biondi Motor Company Inc Reviews (1)

Review: Narrative of the complaint. Metal from a truck jammed under my car and punched a hole through the under carriage sheet metal and bulged the inside floor sheet metal. This pushed one corner of the drivers seat up causing the seat to be tilted towards the console and rubbing on it when the seat moved.I put a temporary piece of thin aluminum sheet on the inside of the punctured hole using pop rivets to prevent water from entering the unibody structure of the car. That section of the panel needed cut out and replaced with a new piece of sheet metal. I then called MetLife Insurance Company. I told them that I purchased the car from Biondi Motor Company and since they did all the service work on the car I preferred taking the car to them. I met with MetLifes insurance adjuster and Biondi body shop representative at biondis shop. They took the car into the shop; I had to wait in the lounge. They scheduled for the repair of the car. I asked the Biondi body shop representative if he took the temporary cover off the bottom outside panel. He said no. I figured they would remove it when the car was repaired. I took the car in for repair on the scheduled date. Biondi called me a couple days later and said the car was ready. I picked the car up and drove it home. I noticed the drivers seat was still leaning towards the console and rubbing on it when the seat moved. I took the car back to Biondi and showed them the problem. They scheduled a date to address the problem. I took the car to them on the scheduled date. They called me to say the car was ready. I picked the car up never suspecting that they never repaired the under carriage sheet metal damage. I never had the opportunity or need to view the underside of my car since Biondi Motor Company has done all the needed service work since I purchased the car from them. It was just recently that I noticed there was a problem. The undercarriage area that was punctured was wide open. Biondi never repaired the punctured undercarriage metal panel. I do not know what they did on the first repair date since the undercarriage sheet or the inside floor sheet was never repaired. When they finally fixed the inside floor panel and straightened the seat, I assumed everything was finally done correctly. I was wrong. I made two attempts to e-mail [redacted] at [redacted] with my finding and attached pictures of the area. One on 9/10/2013 and the second one on 9/18/2013. He is one of the dealerships owners. He is also the one I dealt with, along with the salesman, when I purchased the car. It has been over 2 weeks and I have yet to receive a reply on either e-mail. They also have my telephone number in their files. Never received a return call. This is substandard repair work. Now the repair needs done correctly so as to protect the unibody structure of my car.Desired Settlement: The car needs repaired to reflect its original condition.

Response:

I am writing in response to the complaint filed by Mr. [redacted]. After receiving this complaint from the Revdex.com I contacted Mr. [redacted] on 10/8/13 and had him bring his Lincoln MKZ to the dealership to check the repairs to the left rear floor pan. After looking at the repairs with Mr. [redacted], I noticed the metal section that was welded to the bottom of the floor, that two of the welds failed and a gap had developed. Mr. [redacted] thought this was the panel that he popriveted. That panel was removed and replaced with metal and welded. Likewise, the inside of the rear floor was repaired and the seat bracket was removed, repaired, and rewelded to the inside floor pan, as per Met Life estimate. I have Mr. [redacted] scheduled for 10/21/13 to readdress the rear floor and also scheduled an oil change and state inspection through the service department. I assured Mr. [redacted] that we guarantee all repairs and there would be no cost to repair the rear floor pan. Bodyshop Manager
