Bionic Pets Reviews (%countItem)

I am finally ready to come forward and say that I DO NOT recommend Bionic Pets/ Animal Ortho Care for stifle braces for dogs (My dog had a double CCL tear) UNLESS (benefit of the doubt) maybe you live close by and can see them in person- friends who have used them for other injuries say good things that live in the same state). I live in Colorado and they are in Virginia, and the communication was horrible; they never followed through, I never got a working product, and they finally stopped communication. I spent a year trying to give them the benefit of the doubt that they would fix all of their unprofessionalism, but i'm ready to say that, while others may have had good experiences, I personally do NOT recommend Bionic Pets/ Animal Ortho Care.
It has been over a year of horrible communication and weeks between responses or between sending the braces back and forth to have them fit properly. They were non responsive and unprofessional in their emails and phone calls ( I gave up calling because in the beginning no one would call back, and at the end their phone system went to some weird voicemail pickup that was later brushed off as 'oh we were testing a new voicemail system so we recorded something funny and now we don't know how to get rid of it), and via email we were passed from person to person within the company. When I was at my whits end almost a year in, the owner eased my anxiety saying it was all due to bad employees and he would honor their fit guarantee and get us fixed up and work with us personally. After several attempts to make braces that fit correctly, we received one brace that fits but the other kept getting worse with their adjustments, and again were passed off to one of his employees- I felt like they really weren’t listening to what was wrong, even with videos sent- there was no way the brace was stopping tibial thrust as the tibia never even touched the brace. We did recasting twice for one leg and three times for the other (because they lost the cast) - with each new fix to the braces making it worst than the last where they would be too wide or too shallow or too long. I told them 13 months was a long time for an 11 year old dog in dog years, and I was frustrated and would like to see if there was another option, such as a partial reimbursement, (I would never ask for full due to all their time helping us, but they never held up their end and I signed on because of the Fit Guarantee (side note, I think they have taken that off of their website)) so that I could seek a company who was closer and could see my dog in person, and also a company not caught up in the fame, TV shows, and more exciting clients that these guys take on, (which was originally a draw to me since I would be able to use them for a prosthetic for my three legged pig and was recommended to the company for prosthetics for a 2 legged goat I formerly rescued) but I would now rather have a company who focuses on dog CCLs who is closer so we could be a priority, since they clearly were not making us one. I admit I was blunt telling them I felt like they were prioritizing their TV show and famous animals, but they completely stopped responding to my emails. After two months I emailed again and an employee said the owner, Derrick, would respond immediately. Still nothing. I've completely given up hope of ever hearing from them again. I would have understood if they said they couldn't do any reimbursement due to the labor they put in, or offered at least a coupon code for a future animal, or EVEN JUST RESPONDED but I would have preferred SOME sort of communication after the year of absolute hell we went through trying to get braces that fit. At least we got one brace that fits (we have bilateral tears) - I'm trying to look at the silver lining. We were dropped like a hot potato- no reimbursement, no fit guarantee, and no responses or apologies that they couldn't make it work.
