BioSkinErgy Medical Spa Reviews (1)

Review: I purchased a 10 package laser hair removal treatments at Bioskinergy after an technician evaluation deeming me candidate. I was assured that 10 treatments would suffice. At my first treatment I wasn't given any instructions for after the procedure. I went in for at least 7 treatments. Throughout these treatments I raised concerns with technicians, since it didn't work, and they said "speak with [redacted]". I had left messages for her to call me, which were never returned. After months, [redacted] called and booked an appointment for one month away. On the call, the information she had was wrong and she said she never got my messages from her workers. (Not my problem) At the appointment, I discussed how the treatments have not worked and after consulting with a dermatologist, the lasers and power [redacted] and her staff uses will never fully remove the hair. They will just have the customer continue to buy packages. [redacted] deflects all responsibility stating "you haven't completed your 10 sessions, which is why it doesnt work" (even though the website says 6 sessions will suffice), and then states "well you are not a good candidate for this procedure in the first place." I said I was evaluated by her technician who deemed me a candidate and took my money. [redacted] refuses and then says "well you were not evaluated by me". Nowhere on the site or office does it state that a person needs to be evaluated by [redacted]. Additionally, [redacted] begins to state all of the rules that I needed to follow, following the treatments, which were never communicated to me. Her response was that "all the information is on the website", which it isn't, and secondly, as a customer, if there is pertinent information related to a procedure, that needs to be communicated upfront. She has lied to me about the procedure, its efficacy and details regarding my account and doesn't possess her own medical license. She is selling a product under false pretense and advertising. More complaints http[redacted]Desired Settlement: I would like my money back for the procedure. I still had sessions left in my 10 pack, however I do not feel comfortable subjecting myself to a medical procedure when it doesn't work. I paid in full and was guaranteed improvement in the desired areas, that didn't happen. On the website it states "Laser hair removal requires multiple sessions in order to achieve desired clearance. This is based primarily on biological factors the cycle of hair growth. At BioSkinErgy, we recommend a protocol of"

Response:

Several Hundreds of thousands of laser Hair removal treatments are done in US PER YEAR with more success than failures or else nobody will continue to go and pay for the services. As the only claim that could be made eventually is that in some clients 10 treatments will eventually require periodic reinforcements. Stopping the treatment in the middle is like stopping the antibiotics prescribed for 10 days, after 4 days "because doesn't see results". Moreover, the pharmacy and the prescribing physician should reimburse the patient. Would anybody in the right mind approve this kind of approach?

Please see patient appointment history. As you can see that she did 6 treatments 1 year ago, her last treatment was on June *, 2012 and she came in July ** 2013 requesting refund. She has 4 more sessions to go. The question is why she didn't come in for 1 year?

Respectfully,

Bioskinergy

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[Your Answer Here]

Thank you for your response, but if you look at the appointment history, there were numerous cancelled appointments. I had called many times to make appointments and could only schedule appointments for months in advance. If you are telling people to come in every 5 weeks (which you didn't), your schedules need to accommodate for that time period. I would also get calls and emails from your system, saying that appointments needed to be rescheduled for times that I would not be able to attend. Part of the reason why I paused in my appointments, was because I had reached out to your staff and left messages for [redacted] about my dissatisfaction and I was told someone would get back in touch with me and no one did. Also, comparing laser hair removal to antibiotics when someone is sick is a ridiculous comparison. I am also willing to contact the technician that did my treatments to verify that I was never a no show. I showed up to every appointment that I scheduled on my own behalf.

Additionally, you did not choose to respond to any of the complaints that I had regarding:

1) the power and quality of your lasers

2) claiming that I wasn't a candidate for laser in the first place after you took my money

3) never telling me that I needed to adhere to certain timings and instructions to care after the procedure.

4) the lack of availability in scheduling appointments. If the person on the call knows someone should come in every 5 weeks and they schedule an appointment for 2 months in advance, don't you think that staff should say something?

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Sincerely,
