BIR Business Brokers

I purchased a business through this company that they represented (specifically one John Park).

The business was grossely miss-represented and sketchy/scammy practices were used.

As the summary says, I purchased a business through this company, for a total of $80,000, not including moving costs, or the money that I lost trying to not lose my investment and everything that I had left.

The business owner/broker provided falsely inflated financials and the owner/broker assured/promised things in original contracts that were never provided.

I essentially ended up paying $80,000 for nearly $5,000 worth of FF&E (fixtures furniture and equipment) and two weeks of 4 hours per (weekday) training.

I never received a client list. I never received a supplier list. I never received the promised/shown/represented over $10,000 worth of FF&E. I never received the training or help that I was supposed to receive.

The broker and owner asked me to sign some documents early saying that the owner and his family would go broke and starve and the broker assured me that the owner was trustworthy and that I was protected because of the legal documents and that I should trust them both.

As soon as my check cleared, everything went downhill and they completely dissapeared off the face of the earth and basically told me to eat dirt and I was on my own.
