Review: The mechanic at Bir Trucking put on brake chamber,brake kit, and a brake seal and charged me $722.50 in labor and there rate is $85.00 per hour for labor.That's a total of 8.5 hours and they didn't complete the job.They said that they didn't have all the parts and that I would have to take the truck to another shop because they couldn't get the parts.I think that they charge me excessively too much for labor and they didn't complete the job.My total bill cost me $914.56 and I still had to turn around and let someone else finish fixing the truck.I think that the employee goof around to get extra hours.Desired Settlement: I would like to get a refund for $255.00 because it should'nt even have took 4 to 5 hours to put 1 set of brakes and 1 brake chamber on.

This notice is in reference to ID number [redacted] regarding a dispute fromMr. [redacted]. Mr. [redacted] is disputing a $722.50 in labor charges for workperformed on his trailer. Our shop foreman was in touch with Mr. [redacted] severaltimes throughout the afternoon that we were doing repair work on his trailer; heexplained that we did not have the parts to completely repair the trailer, but wecould do some adjustments. Mr. [redacted] asked if we could repair the trailer wellenough for his driver to bring it to his shop for complete repairs, and we said yes,we could do that. I am attaching a copy of the original work order from the daythat repairs were made. It is noted on the repair order that we not only put a newset of brake shoes and a brake chamber on, but we also installed a new wheelseal, and did repair work to the s-cam and slack adjuster, which took more timethat anticipated. Our shop also had to remove wheel bearings, and repack themfor the trailer to be able to travel. Mr. [redacted] was aware of the repairs we made, andwas agreeable to us doing the repairs described. Also, Mr. [redacted] paid the chargeshimself with a prepaid check, giving us an authorization code to the check,therefore agreeing with the charges that were assessed. I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I was aware of the charges and I still think they were every excessive and I was forced to pay the bill or leave my trailer there when the home office is in [redacted] and my driver had already sat there for 2 days.I tried to negotiate a cheaper rate but the shop refused so I had no other choice.But the bottom line is that the mechanic rode the clock to get extra hours and I had to pay for it.
