In response the ID# [redacted] The child was present at Birch Mountain Day School from September 8, 2015 to April 18, 2016. She was present 5 days a week, the total tuition overdue is $3415.74. The mother signed a contract for dates September 8, 2015 through August 31, 2016. Tuition has not been charged to the account for any days after April 18, 2016. The amount due is owed and payable only for services rendered. In response to the allegations of abuse I dispute in total. The school provides a loving and caring environment for the children with interaction among the different classrooms with our open floor plan. The alleged incident mentioned happened in April 2015 during drop off and was witnessed by the father. Within hours, I received a phone call from the mother apologizing for the father's behavior and she asked if her child could remain at the school. Both the staff member and I documented the incident. The child remained at the school for a year later, until April 18, 2016. The other staff present in the building at the time did not witness abuse and it was our conclusion that there was no abuse to report to the State of CT. Two water samples were taken 10 days apart from each other, one resulting in lead and copper evidence and one test as non-detectable for lead and copper. The same test was done 6 months prior and was non-detectable and the same test was done this past June 2016 was also non-detectable. I consulted with the State of CT, Department of Health and the Town of [redacted] Department of Health both agencies advised me that the school did not need to supply bottled water. I followed their guidelines, as well as posting the State form on the front board in the front office of the school.
