Birchwood Homes, Inc./Woodland Homes

I would never build with Birchwood, Woodland, or Pinecrest Homes (all the same company). Their construction quality is very poor and they have the worst customer service I've seen. The owner (Jerry [redacted]) refuses to speak to customers. We have also worked with 4 different superintendents since our house was started over a year ago and each one gives us different answers and forgets to followup on issues. Our sewer was never actually hooked up and our basement drain backed up with sewage. They claim this is the contractors fault and they take no responsibility for this or other issues. We had 3 gas leaks from different locations and we had multiple points of water and soil intrusion in our basement because the soil was not graded away from the house and several siding joints were not caulked. They also misplaced payments and contracts. The air conditioning is also undersized and can not keep our house cool to 78 degrees when it's 85 degrees outside.

My experience with pinecrest homes has been amazing. Not only is the quality of this house outstanding so is the customer service. [redacted], and [redacted] had answers for all our questions and the superintendent [redacted] even got the house completed ahead of schedule.
