Review: On Sun,9/7/14 I purchased an Amazon parrot from the Bird Jungle, Shrewsbury, NJ. The purchase price was approx $1100. The bird had an extremely strong odor; I figured that was due to not being bathed which was partially true. I gave the bird a good spray /shower twice but it still gave off a strong foul smell and would not move from one corner of a large cage. I called [redacted] the owner the next day-he said the bird is healthy and that he would give it a bath. On Tue I gave the bird 2 more baths; still smelled -took it to the vet who said it appeared ok but wanted to run stool tests for more than $200. The vet also asked me for documentation showing two shots it should have had: I contacted [redacted] who said his birds didn't need the shots.. On Wed 9/10 third day I realize4d I could not deal with the bird's smell whether natural or not and returned it to the store. They refused to refund my money.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund of $1070 for the bird even though I spent more on accessories as well. I did not sign the back of the receipt agreeing not to be entitled to a refund. Furthermore my decision to buy and then return the bird has nothing to do with improperly feeding an unweaned baby bird or my wife or landlord issues(as I own my house) or even an impulse purchase.
