I received my order promptly Unfortunately the LED rope lighting is not bright at all It is ok for very soft accent lighting The prongs on the connection pieces broke off during connection & Birddog Distributing will not replace the broken partsI am very unhappy with the lack of customer service for these defective parts

Review: I purchased 2 sets of Christmas lights for my daughters bedroom. On the birddog distributing website it says that you need an extra out door power cord.I am very used to outdoor lights and we have outdoor power cords so I didn't purchase their's, also I planned to use the lights indoors. What they do not clearly state is that without the power cord the lights will not work. The plug on these is not the kind you can plug directly into the wall, as is the norm with ANY holiday lights.So now I have 2 sets of lights and I can't use! Then I look at the return policy on the website, again this is not featured on the page when you purchase, they want a 15% restocking fee and they want you to pay for return shipping. I don't mind paying the return shipping but a restocking fee is ridiculous, for something I feel I was mislead into purchasing.I did call and the lady on the phone was rude and unhelpful and said it was too bad and my fault for not reading the page. I did read the page and it is just not clear. Then I went onto live chat and the lady "[redacted]" was just as unhelpful, offering no solutions at all and it was too bad for me. I asked for a number to call a manager and she gave me their generic 1-800 number and said there was no extension for a manager. I called the number and tried every extension and I was forwarded to voice mail every time. Below is the link for their website and the page I purchased from. When viewing the page the customer mentions you will notice the following text in the description: Requires outdoor power cord (sold separately). I am not sure how to explain the requirement any more clearly. That being said, because customer satisfaction is the most important thing to us, we have already authorized a FREE power cord to be sent to this customer. This is scheduled to ship out today. We have notified her of this, however, she insists on perpetuating her complaint. I'm not sure what else to do.

Review: A refund authorization was granted for my purchase on November 19, 2013. The item was shipped by insured Priority Mail and arrived at Birddog Distributing on November 25, 2013. I have yet to receive a refund, though the company has their merchandise.Desired Settlement: Full refund due to time wasted pursuing this matter

The customers return has been processed and the credit will be issued today. It does take several days for everything to go through the system as we experience a high volume of orders and returns this time of year. There are no notes in the customer account stating that this was an authorized return, so that also would have delayed the handling time. Our policy states that any return must be authorized by us and have an RMA# issued for it. The customer will be receiving a refund less a 15% restocking fee, per our policy.

Review: I ordered a 126.75 foot spool of LED "PURPLE" 2-Wire, 1/2 inch, 120 Volt Rope lights. When I received the lights and plugged them in they are flamingo pink in color. While this was a clearance item, the color advertised was not the color I received. I called the company to return the lights and was told they could not be returned because they were a clearance item. I paid $188.95 for these lights and want the color I ordered which were pucple not pink lights.The color that was advertised was not the color lights I received. I would like to return the lights for a refund. They do have a 30 day return policy which I am well within since I just received the lights.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for this purchase since the color that was advertised was not the color I received.

We are sorry that the customer is unhappy with the color of lights that they purchased, but unfortunately she purchased an item that is non refundable. She placed this order on our website where she agreed to our terms and conditions which clearly states that custom cut pieces and clearance items are sold as is and are non refundable. The pictures we have on our website are the actual spools that we sell. Our graphic designer took the pictures and uploaded them to our site. The color is very accurate as to what it looks like in person, so she was able to see the color before purchasing the product. Review: I purchased 65 ft ft of clear LED rope lighting on 09/22/2012 and 163 ft on 09/30/2013, plus several hundred plastic clips, and various connectors. Total purchase was $456.75Out of the box, a 3 foot section did not work, which they replaced. I mounted all 228 feet using 400 clips for the holiday, and they were fine. Last month I went on my roof and saw that the entire section (about 60 feet) was laying on my roof. I inspected the clips, and they were deformed such that they could not keep the rope in place. I looked at other clips, and any thta were in sunlight had the same problem - the rope either had pulled out, out could be removed wih a gentle tug.The more disturbing matter is that the rope light outer sheath is no longer clear, but milky white. Some areas are very discolored, and look weathered.I emailed Birddog asking for a full refund, for which I would gladly return the lights. Their CS said that the ropes have some UV resistance, but that they can turn milky, and that their warranty does not cover this.The product quality is substandard in an intended and otherwise unremarkable use. These are ready for the trash after less than a year, and given the considerable work to properly mount them, I am very angry at Birddog. By comparison, my previous lights from [redacted] lasted 15 years. Furthermore, there was NO indication of this in their literature, so as an omission, this is the same to me as false advertising.Birddog brings new meaning to the phrase" buyer beware", and it is wrong to hide behind a warranty that carries no expectation of quality. Meanwhile, I'm out $456, and have no lights. If their Revdex.com rating is so high, they must not have a lot of complaints, so I'd think they would want to protect their image and return my money.Desired Settlement: Full refund. They can have the product back, including 400 substandard plastic clips.

I am sorry that you are dissatisfied with your rope light purchase. I just wanted to note that your second purchase was 9/30/2012 not 9/30/2013. In regards to your complaints, the clips are a basic plastic clip. They can be damaged in different weather scenarios. Direct sun for example will tend to make them soft and they can become deformed at that time. They are an inexpensive way of mounting rope light and they are not meant to last forever. As far as the milky white color of the rope light itself, that will happen to any rope light when left out in the weather. The milky white color should not affect the light output, and since everything is still working fine you should not notice any difference. Our warranty does not cover weather related issues. Since this purchase was a year ago and the product has been installed and altered by you and in still good working condition, it is not returnable for replacement or a refund. This company made it a hassle to complete a return. Birddog Distributing was in error, as they granted an authorized return for my order but did not acknowledge it and then denied that they ever issued it. Fully complying with their return policy, I was given a "Return Authorization" RMA number after contacting the company through email and affixed it to the return shipment as stated in the policy. My items sat at their location for over a week with no response from the company. I paid them through Paypal, so bank transfer times should not have been an issue. After multiple fruitless attempts to contact them, I then receive conflicting responses from the company through email and in the resolution to my complaint. In the email, they state that a return credit was issued two days after the receipt of my items but in the complaint response they accuse me of error by stating that my return was not authorized because I did not receive a return authorization. This company dropped the ball and are obviously trying to cover their tracks, but this should not be done in a manner to make the customer seem to be at fault. I was issued my deserved return but the company portrayed the delay as my own fault because of their false accusation of me not following their return policy. Due to this whole ordeal, buyers must be aware that this company is delusive and strives to keep face throughout glaring errors and missteps."

Review: The item shipped was different from the item we purchased!! (even the receipt says so). the ropelight was reduced significantly in wattage and was nowhere near the brightness we needed. I called in and asked to return the ropelight but they said they "changed suppliers" and would not take back the old, because if I would have looked under the technical specs, I would have noticed the wattage was different than when we ordered it before:) they took my phone number and said they would get back to me...not so.Desired Settlement: I will be more than happy to return the product. I would think they should pay shipping and give a full refund for all product

Attached is a copy of the customers sales order to show that in the description of the product in question it clearly states 3 watts per foot. The customer purchased similar rope light from us 3 years prior and at that time our rope light was 5.5 watts per foot. Since then we have changed manufacturers and therefore the specs have changed on our inventory. The specs of the current rope light that we have are listed on our website and are again noted in the product description that is on the packing slip the customer receives with their order. We have access to the 5.5 watts per foot rope light that would be similar to what the customer has purchased in the past. We would be willing to send that out to the customer upon receipt of the rope light they currently have. If the customer would like to just return for a refund, we would feel that our 15% restocking fee should apply.
