In July of 2013 a notice was sent informing him that we would be sending the book 2012 Family Handyman Annual to preview unless we were notified of his decision to cancel. Instructions for canceling the book shipment and a prepaid envelope were included. When we did not receive a cancellation notice, we promptly shipped the book on October 13, 2013, expecting **. [redacted] was anxiously awaiting its arrival.[redacted]’s preview account has been cancelled. We have cleared the balance from the account, and ask that he ignore any future bills for the book that may cross in the mail. Review: Family Handyman sent me a book that I did not order nor solicit. They have requested payment for the book or they want me to return it. I will not pay to return a book that I did not want or order. They continue to send me collection mail even after I told them in writing that I was not going to pay to send the book back. They need to stop the practice of sending out unsolicited books and expecting payment. They are taking advantage of many people...probably mostly senior citizens. I want them to stop sending me bills and stop sending me books.Desired Settlement: Stop sending unsolicited books. Stop sending me collection notices.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I do wish to let them know that apparently the change of address that I submitted when moving to Alabama from Kentucky did not make it to the book department. Perhaps they would like to discuss this further with their corporate counterparts.

Review: Publisher is trying to bill me for a book I never receiver. They say they mailed me a book called The Family Handyman and are threatening to put me into collections over $25.00 for not paying. I never ordered a book. I subscribed to their magazine in the past, but never placed an order.Desired Settlement: They can correct the error and not send me to collections.
