"We have been trying desperately all summer to keep the weeds from growing through the rocksWe have tried commercial weed killer, DIY all natural weed killers, pulling the grass, and using a weed wackerWe have spent hours and hours trying to tame the yard to no avail.We just got back from a two week trip and the yard is completely overgrown and very unsightly and we don't even know where to begin."I have a diagnosed health issue that is worsened by lifting, pulling, and bending and yet we put in hours of work trying to maintain our yardThere is not just a few weeds that grew, but a full yard of weeds and grass that could not be contained through conventional methods.As the business explained in their letter that just a short time after the work was complete, the owner had to put in a full day's labor to deal with some of the grass and weeds coming through the rocksUnfortunately I am not able to put in a full day's labor every 2-weeks due to health restrictions in addition to a few hours each week trying to curtail the growth.I am not asking the business for the full amount we paid to be returned to us, just the portion for the front and side yards that are unmanageable.? To whom it may concern, We received a complaint today regarding work done for [redacted] and her husband.I have attached the quote for the workThe quote will show that there was a considerable amount of work done at theirHomeThe amount charged for the work they are complaining about was $The title of the quote is revised because they negotiated from $to $4700.00.I have also attached pictures of the Patio and Stairway landing landscape block work and what the front yard looked like when all the work was doneThe work was completed on 5-7-They contacted us on 5/27/to say they were getting some weedsMy husband [redacted] who did all the work in the photos went backTo their house removed the weeds and pull all the Pea Stone back and re-set the filter fabricHe then put all the stone back.A full days work at no costHe then explained them that some grass and weeds could come back and they would have to maintain pulling some weedsThey wanted a completely maintenance free front yardDan explained that aside from paving it there is no way to have maintenance freeWe did not hear from them again until August when they sent us photos of the mess they let the yard turn intoWe live a town over and [redacted] had gone by there a few times going to other jobs and had notice it had started to get weeds and that they did nothing.The job they asked for was done and done very well If you sod a yard for a customer and they do not water it, they customer cannot hold you responsible for the sod dying..If you place seed down and you do not water it, you cannot blame the person who put down the seedThis customer did not want to spend too much money and we came down in price twice.You see the pictures of the walkway, stairs, flowerbeds and the pea stone yard.They did nothing to take care of itThere should be a site for businesses to complain about terrible customers [redacted] will actually go back to houses where he puts down seed and sod and water a few days for themHe is a disabled American Veteran, who works very hard and hisPrices are more than fairI do not like the [redacted] did not tell you he went there and spent a day for no charge getting rid of the initial weeds they gotMost contractors would have charged them more than $for just the patio, walkway and stair work, never mind the flowerbeds & mulchPlease contact us if you have any questions.We are a very small company that is person who had rave reviews on [redacted] and [redacted] Everyone love him, his work, his work ethic and his prices.We cannot afford to go back and do more workThe work they are upset about they barely paid forDigging up the front yard putting down the filter fabric andPutting down the pea stone was a small fraction of that quote and workSo to ask for all of the money back is just greedy and makes no sense.Since they let the yard get so bad again they should have to pay to have it fixed [redacted] told them seeds blow in the wind and there is no guarantee that nothing will grow through that it will take some maintenanceIf they went out once a week and took care of it, it would have been a small jobI am sorry they are unhappy, we like happy customers, they got a bargain for all the work donePlease contact me with any questions [redacted] Birmingham Landscape Construction[redacted]

As stated in an email to the business, we texted and called the business and left a voicemailPlease see attached picturesI spoke with the business again today and we have a plan for the business owner to come to our home the first week of December to remove all weeds, grass and rocks for no cost in order to prepare the front yard for future pavingWe are satisfied with this plan and appreciate what the business has offered as a solution.Regards,
