Review: The company has a policy where items are held for four months, after which, uncollected items go to collections. The company however, fails to return phone calls or answer phone calls. For months I tried calling to check to see if three Chanel pieces (worth hundreds of dollars) had sold or not, and when someone answered they told me to call back at a later day or time. When I finally got to speak with someone today (7/*/13) almost a year later, they told me that they keep "no records" of items past 120 days, meaning they could not tell me if my items were donated or sold. They also told me they would not compensate me for any items that sold. They also claimed they had never heard from me, and had received no messages. I told them that for tax purposes they had to keep a record of items sold for at least one year, and they told me that they have none.Desired Settlement: I want to know whether my items sold or not. if my items did not sell I want proof of donation. If my items did sell, I want to know how much they sold for and I want to be compensated for the percentage that I am owed for their value.

Response:
Dear [redacted],
Please find herein enclosed Consignment Agreement #[redacted] with [redacted], dated August **, 2012, executed by her on August **, 2012 and not July *, 2012 as she indicated in her complain.
Pursuant to Paragraph 5 of this Agreement, her unsold merchandise was due to be picked-up by November *, 2012. We normally grant a grace period of an additional 30 days to contact us or make other arrangements, which would have extended her pick-up date to December *, 2012.
Even though [redacted] alleges to have phoned our store several times, there is no record of her leaving any specific message concerning this matter with any member of our staff up to July 2013, or even stopping by to our store to inquire about her merchandise. Unsold items left beyond 120 days are considered abandoned and disposed of, a standard practice in our industry.
We regret [redacted]' misunderstanding regarding our policy. As a courtesy, we will be happy to offer [redacted] a 20% discount on the purchase of any non sale item priced at $100 or more at our store. This offer is valid till December **, 2013.
