I highly recommend Bishop Construction if you're going to build a new house. Andre Bishop was great to work with. He is very experienced with the building process. When we first met with Andre to show him our plans he had many great suggestions that enhanced our home and helped save money.

I had met with several contractors and compared estimates, Bishop was the lower priced contractor but he did not sacrifice quality or design features in his quote. He completed my home within the quoted price except where I made changes that affected the price. My only complaint was they did not finish the house within the time frame they quoted, but the finished product was well worth the wait.

After I moved in, Bishop came back and fixed the items on the punch list in a timely matter. Every home is going to have a punch list of things that next fixed or corrected, so expect that from any contractor. Most importantly, I found Andre to be very ethical and good to work with.

The first time we went on the Bishop Construction website, we immediately fell in love with the
"Heather" model. The thought of moving out of state and all of the decisions required to build new construction felt overwhelming. Andre was very reassuring and answered all of our questions and he had so many great suggestions which helped take the pressure off of us and made making decisions so easy and the transition smoother. He definitely has the gift of seeing the finished
product and was able to communicate that to us in ways we could understand. He provided us with great vendors who worked with us to pick out flooring, light fixtures, faucets, appliances , tile, etc. The quality of the house is excellent and we love the floor plan, large kitchen island, walk-in pantry and large screened-in porch. We are so happy with our house both inside and out.

While it may have taken some time for them to address some of the items, to date, most have been completed satisfactorily. Bishop Construction built our custom house in Tellico Village to which we are very pleased. Working with Andre, Jeff, Dennis and others in the company was a pleasant and enjoyable experience. We had only one issue of a leak in the master shower which was remedied a few days after the call. I would use them again should we build another house.

We purchased a spec home by Bishop Construction and have been very pleased. Most importantly we have a good foundation. We found Andre and Jeff to be responsive during the build process and they helped us repair a few things when a tree fell on our house 3 years later.

Bishop built us a home which used their plans but which we adjusted to include many custom features. We are very pleased and during an open house for the annual golf tournament in Tellico Village we received many complements. As in all building project there are some issues but Bishop has always addressed them to our satisfaction. I would recommend them to anyone considering building a new home in this area.

We purchased a spec house from BISHOP CONSTRUCTION in 2019. Run don't walk away from this builder. While we loved the exterior look of the house and the flow on the interior, the quality of workmanship is substandard. We have NO heat or air conditioning going to the two front bedrooms. We had five grandchildren and our son and daughter-in-law in over the summer. It was so hot in the front bedrooms, we had to go out and purchase fans to at least keep the air moving. We had grandchildren in for christmas and went out and bought extra blankets for the beds because it was too cold. We have a fireplace in the living room but there is no blower on it, so we can't leave it going for too long. We had a water leak issue in the garage ceiling. They came out a did some minor work and said it would be finished at a later date, that day never came. There are also some minor issues that we took care of ourselves. We had contacted by phone, the builder and said he would take care of these issues. After waiting and waiting, we went into the office and an argument started. I was thrown out of the office and my wife was left standing there not sure of what to do. The owners told her that they have NO intention of doing any work on the house at all. We sent a certified letter to two addresses and via regular mail to two different addresses for *** since this was in there final paperwork if we needed to get something done. Never heard from them. Now, it is one day short of a year in the house and a huge crack above the doorway to the bathroom almost to the ceiling. Per their own admission, nothing is going to be taken care of. It will be very costly to us to pay for these items to be fixed. My suggestion is to STAY AWAY from this builder.

Their Standard Building Contract requires mediation to settle any and all disputes (there were many), provides for "appropriate credits"to be determined by the builderas the only remedy for undone/incomplete work (there was a lot!), and holds them liable ONLY for Code Violations (there were many) as determined by local county building inspectorsin our case, Loudon County. We contracted for "engineered hardwood" floors. We got laminate! Our vinyl siding buckled & warped within 2 weeks of installation. We were told by Bishop Construction that they were "not responsible for beauty issues"! Only after fighting for 8 months and reaching out to (1) Tellico Village Property Owners' Association, (2) Tellico Village Architectural Control Committee, (3) the siding supplier, and (4) our lender did they FINALLY admit to a faulty installation and replace all of the siding . . . . and, then they sent their siding contractor to the house unannounced on Labor Day to begin work. When we withheld money pending completion of unsatisfied contractual obligations, they immediately revoked our One-Year Warranty and refused to do any further work on the home. LET THE BUYER BEWARE . . . . engage Bishop Construction at your own risk!

The treatment we received from the owners was unprofessional, rude and arrogant. Our opinion: DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH BISHOP CONSTRUCTION!
