Hello-- We've spoken to the customer and explained the difference between a recall and a technical service bulletin (TSB) This was a TSB and not a recall It was repaired under the customer's ESP, hence the $deductible We believe the issue has been resolved Thanks, Whitney O***

I purchased a SantaFe out of Bison Ford in Great Falls, MT. I purchased a full service warranty with the vehicle. Had the vehicle for a few months and had to use the service warranty to fix it which was done with no problem. After having the vehicle for another year and the engine broke down. It has been in the shop waiting for the service warranty department to approve the repairs to the vehicle. It has been in the shop since April, 2019 and it is now September, 2019. They had 3 inspections on it with the last inspection saying that it was something the service contract will need to pay for. Now they are asking for copies of oil changes and said the copy of the oil change was blurry and couldn't read it and they needed the odometer reading. The dealership we have the vehicle at is on the phone with them, on hold, usually for 30 minutes just to hear them say it hasn't been approved yet. This dealership said they will no longer take vehicles with Bison Ford Service Contracts and they are fed up with the runaround they are getting on my vehicle.

Review: Bision Ford Dealer: I purchased my truck from them that I just sold. Purchased the truck Aug 2011 from Bison Ford of Great Falls Montana.

I went to them this morning to get a refund on the Ford extended warranty that I purchased at the time I purchased the truck. Bison Ford refused to process the refund because they can not trust me to be honest about the mileage of the truck at the time of sale Saturday 4 Oct 2014.

I have a signed and notarized Title with the odometer reading declared on it. An official State of Montana document. This was refused, it is not good enough. Bison Ford must see the odometer at the moment of sale.

Also, Bison Ford certified the odometer reading 3 weeks ago when they appraised the truck. (and offered me a very low trading price for it). Kirk Fried of Bison Ford was the salesman 3 weeks ago that can verify the mileage. The Manager that refused to honor the Ford Motor Co contract to refund unused Extended Warranty didn't give me his name.Desired Settlement: Cancel the Ford Motor Co. Extended Warranty effective 06 Oct 2014 with a certified odometer reading of exactly 50,000 miles. Issue a check for the unused portion of the contract.

The complaint with Bison Ford of Great Falls MT has been resolved.

Review: I purchased a used [redacted] F-350 Super Duty with a Powerstroke diesel. I drove the vehice for 3 days. When I was leaving work the truck died on me as I coasted into a gas station. I had thought it was out of fuel. When I called the dealership they said yeah it sounds like it's out of fuel. I couldn't get it started even when I added more fuel. The gauge wasn't on empty but low so I thought something else might be the problem. At that point I became worried and asked the salesman if I could just return it. He told me that I could not and if I could just get it started I would feel a lot better. After several days and some help from a few different people I was still not able to get it started. I had the truck towed to Bison [redacted]. After a couple days they called me and said the oil pump was bad. I inquired as to how much it would cost to replace? I was quoted approximately $2,000 at that point. I told them to go ahead and get it done. A couple days later I got a call that there was damage to the oil pump and that it may have engine damage as well. I asked again, can I just return it? I only drove it 3 days. They refused again. After pulling the oil pan off they determined that the engine was shot and that it would be between $12K-$15K to replace. How can a reputable dealer treat someone this way? It's not a fly by night car lot but a [redacted] branded dealership. I paid $10K for the truck and they want me to put another $12-15K into it? I am very frustrated with Bison [redacted]. There is an implied Merchantability that I had when I purchased the truck and that is it would go at least 300K miles on an engine. At least that is what I was told by the sales person there. Not a very good promise to make when I couldn't even drive it 1K miles.Desired Settlement: There are several different options that would have been acceptable to me. The first most obvious would be to give me a refund. Another would be to take it back and apply the $10K toward the purchase of another vehicle. Another would be to trade for a similar vehicle with a similar price. None of these options were even offered.

I recently leased a new vehicle from Bison Ford. [redacted] made it a pleasant experience. I was out of there in a new car in a very short time.

I have owned only [redacted] vehicles. My last was a 2011 Explorer that had a manufacturing paint problem on the hood. Bison refused to fix the problem originally identified prior to the manufactured warranty expiring. When I brought the vehicle in to get the paint repaired, I was told my vehicle was now out of warranty by 200 miles and they would do nothing to fix it. Numerous problems followed with window problems ( same part repaired 3 times) and never fixed. Along with rough engine noise (gas engine sometimes sounded like a diesel) demonstrated to mechanic in the service department, was told a loud knocking engine is normal on a 36k miles engine under load. Not true! This summer I took a vacation to Texas and bought a brand new Explorer from [redacted] in San Antonio. Purchased the premium service and warranty plan offered by [redacted]. Had a simple low tire pressure sensor warning, but my tires have nitrogen instead of air( done by [redacted] dealership) not me, and also a warrantied item. Bison tells me they don't have the capability so I will have to pay out of pocket for [redacted] motors to adjust my tire pressure when needed. Bison has the same Blue oval sign in front of it as every other [redacted] dealer. Bison [redacted] needs to understand they represent the blue oval sign and not just a local small town dealership in it for a profit!
