Nothing but glowing reviews. A friend had posted his horrible experience with this company several weeks ago and it is gone. Must be one of the posts that state "it has been reviewed and everything is satisfactory". See BBB of Minneapolis site.

Please do not make the mistake I did and trust anyone from Bison Steel Buildings, Inc.

In September 2016 I gave a salesman for Bison Steel Buildings a deposit of $7,900 to lock in the price for a steel building for my farm in Nebraska. He said the deposit was refundable, minus a small engineering fee, if either party cancelled the project. He sent me rough plans, a colors chart, and a contract. However, I decided not to do the project, and requested a refund of my deposit in October 2017. I never approved any plans or signed the contract. This request for a refund was ignored.

In December 2017, I sent my refund request to Bison’s owner, John Swanson, by certified mail with a receipt. This request also was ignored.

In March 2018, my attorney sent a letter to Mr. Swanson by certified mail with a receipt. This request also was ignored.

I then filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau of Minnesota in June 2018. Mr. Swanson offered to repay only HALF of my deposit. I refused that offer. Mr. Swanson ignored further attempts to negotiate. At this time, I also filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission.

In July 2019, I filed a complaint with the Consumer Fraud Division of the Nebraska Attorney General’s Office. Again, Mr. Swanson ignored their letters – until they informed him that a reply is required by Nebraska law. Again, he offered to repay only half of my deposit. And again, I refused. Once more, he ignored further attempts to negotiate.

The only route left open to me is to travel from Nebraska to Minneapolis and sue Mr. Swanson. But due to COVID-19 concerns, I will have to wait until 2021 to do so.

My experience with Bison Steel Buildings showed me that this company’s customer service policy is to ignore problems and hope they will go away. Don’t do business with them. Even if you document every step, like I did, they will ignore your requests for help and fail to keep their promises.

We didn't even know there was a problem, and Bison took care of it How good is that? The steel erector liked the building, everything fit, nothing was missing, and we were surprised to discover that interior trim was included for all of our windows, which is apparently not the norm with steel packages Another unexpected plus We've now occupied the building for two years and it's been great No issues at all, and the Bison folks have even checked back a couple of times to be sure things are OK The folks at Bison have been a real pleasure to deal with If we do another building, this is where I'll go, no reservations at all

Hello Everyone: I am pleased to be able to recomend Bison to anyone who might be looking for a Steel Buildning Manufacturer I purchased mine from Bison a couple years back and put it up myself, with the help of a couple of friendsBoth of them have put up steel structures in the past, and they commented on the quality and care that Bison put into the building I did most of the work myself and the plans were very easy to follow Every piece fit properly with no cutting or redrilling, other than the ordinary trimming required There has been no leaks or loose panels even after some large dust and rain storms We CAN get some good rain storms here in Arizona John Swanson was the best to work with, providing excellent suggestions for me This is a company that REALLY delivers on their promises The building shipped on time, and even though there were a couple damaged pieces from the freight company They were replaced promptly and without questions One of the most honest companies that I have worked with in my years of business, (Truck Repair) I have a GREAT building that I am proud to show off Again, a great BIG Thank You to Bison Steel Sincerly [redacted]

We had a great experience working with Bison Steel Buildings! The salesmen were very professional, knowledgeable, and even took us out to lunch to discuss our specific needs We really felt like WE actually came first, which was much needed after our previous building had been destroyed by a fire They even provided us with referrals that were willing to allow us to come to see the buildings first hand They use reasonably priced, quality materials and everything came in exactly the way that we had ordered it Since then, they have stood behind their product, even though it was something that mother nature had caused All in all, they made it a fun experienceThey still call from time to time just to see how things are going for us We really like our new building and everyone who stops by compliments us on it

We will never use this company again! They are just a broker and can't do anything on time! They lie about deliveries! They lie about schedule! It took them months to get our buildings to us I will post a review after the buildings are up and let everyone know how many parts are wrong and missing

Bison Steel received a call from Mr*** approximately months ago and it was our understanding that the customer was working on an issue with his local building department and wanted Bison to wait and ship his doors and windows
until the matter was resolved
Approx a month later Bison then received a call from Mr*** wanting to have the doors and windows delivered asap
Bison informed Mr*** that it would take a minimum of weeks for the delivery he said that was unacceptable
Bison offered to refund Mr*** his money for the doors and windows and he refused, saying he wanted us to ship them
Bison Apologized for any miscommunication and even sent Mr*** a refund of $1,for the miscommunication
We have been in contact with Mr*** and he is pleased with our responding to this matterBison has done everything possible to please Mr***

I am rejecting this response because:I am looking at the copy of John *** agreement right in front of
me There was no such agreement, and I supplied him with a letter after my refund was past due, to only then gave him further delay my refund of $25, 000.He held my money for as long as he could until I filed a complaint with the Revdex.com and then threatened a lawsuit

The agreement Bison had with the customer was to supply any cancellation requests in writingCustomer has since requested cancellation in writing and Bison has refunded deposit in full

Greetings, It is with the utmost pleasure that I convey my thoughts and extend my respect towards a company which exemplifies the highest standards of professionalism and concern for the customer.
I was in the position to help research a firm to provide a steel building for family members that live in Western Pa. I dealt with Mr. [redacted] of Bison Steel Buildings whom demonstrated many honorable personal qualities. The first being, a good listener to the customer. The second being, extremely knowledgeable aiding in design and specifications. Third being, raising the bar on ethics and honesty from start to finish of the project. There is a fourth attribute that I will expound on in a minute.
When a decision needs to be made with a sizable purchase you need not look any further than Bison Steel. Factor in equitable terms, quality components, and a dynamic organization with everything else you then have the confidence of achieving a complete package for your building project.
I own my own company and personally did site development and steel erection for the 16x 60x 100' Bison Steel Building. "Total pleasure" sums up the entire dealings with Bison Steel.
Now I did mention a fourth attribute, call it Blessings, call it morals, call it doing right,... I call it "Christian Dignity," helping others as we would like to be treated.
