Though I can not go into details regarding the medical issues of this client I can however say that she does have mental issues coupled with dementia which makes this client very difficult to deal withThe client has gone through every home health agency in the city of Paterson, we were actually
contacted directly from the HMO to take over the home care services for this clientEvery home health aide we sent have all reported to us that this client is extremely rude and uses fowl language toward themWhen and aide does go they refuse to go back, hence the revolving door if aides we have sent to the clientThe daughters, one being *** *** is actually on record using fowl language towards the office staff when she callsWe tried to inform her that her mom, the client in question, needs to be put in a facility where she can receive 24hr care but the daughters refused even when the HMO agreed with our findingsWe in fact have multiple phone records of our calls with the HMO, whom are very aware that this client has issues, outlining our recommendationsThe clients daughters don't come see there mom (the client) at all, they expect the agency to do everything which is NOT how home agencies workWe are supplemental care for the clients not primaryThe primary care must come from the clients family membershours a week is not a lot of hours to get things done with a client of her needsThe daughters are just upset that they now will have to take care of their own mother, whom which they don't even visit, which is truly sadHome Health aide services are non-medical PCA services nothing more*** *** doesn't seem to fully understand this concept

I am rejecting this response because:This response is outrageous and inflammatory.  First and Foremost the patient has Parkinson's NOT dementia.  Clearly whomever replied needs to go back to school because there is a big difference.  The patient is of her sound mind, very alert and knows EXACTLY whats going on.  Her mobility skills are effected NOT her ability to know who and what is going on.  2nd the patient is unable to do any shopping or outside actives.  YES we expect the aides to go with her to doctors appointments as they are during hours her children work.  Third 52 hours a Week is a great amount of hours for someone whom all your doing is monitoring in the shower as she is able to wash herself, assist her getting dressed and help prepare meals it doesn't take 52 hours a week to do this.  Further that also does not mean you come to the house and take naps or help yourself to her food by making her a meal and yourself one.  Next If her kids did not come visit how would she get groceries.  I am personally there 2 to 3 times a WEEK EVERY WEEK.  I make sure her medication is in order and that she has groceries or any other household item.  Now to speak about the hours they are stealing from the state by billing them 52 hours a week but never provided 52 hours of service.  Please talk about how the aides steal food and make themselves something to eat.  I am there several times a Week and seen this with my own eyes.  Also I have called this agency ONCE in life so it is outrageous for them to speak on conversations that never took place.  If I didnt care about the well being of my mother I would of never initiated this complaint in hopes this agency cleans up there act for the next patient.  Last but certainly not least the patient has NOT been thru every agency in Paterson, NJ and is no longer with this agency because of the poor service they provide.  Maybe if they paid the state minimum wage they would have better workers.  Yes on ONE of my NON visits to my mothers house the aide told me she only gets 8.per hour last I check the law was 8.44.  Hope you get that straighten out before the IRS is looking into.
