Review: Because of fine service in the past, including with a variety of friends, one male friend and I went to Bistro 33 Davis on a night in July 2013 to have a drink or two. For at least thirty or forty-plus minutes we were IGNORED by every service person, the hostess, and the bartender. After about forty or so minutes, I went to the hostess, asked a question or two, and was promptly told: I should have talked to her first. Since that day in July, I have hand-delivered at least six letters with my full contact information available, and have again been promptly IGNORED. For me and myself, this is not good customer service, and if nothing else, deserves some acknowledgement and an apology. Right now, as all things stand, I have no reason to recommend Bistro 33 Davis to anyone, which is sad considering the history of fine service before this incident happened in July 2013.

Acknowledgement of my letters hand-delivered to the managers of Bistro 33. A formal apology would be appreciated. Better customer service.

Initial Business Response

As customer stated, he personally hand delivered, six hand written letters, 4 of which were praise of good service. The other two letters regarding service complaints were addressed to him by management at that time. We apologized for any confusion and explained we pride ourselves in service and would never try to ignore someone on purpose.

To my knowledge, ONLY one letter was of praise; the majority were complaints--okay, one may of been an informational item regarding my having Aspergers, a condition that is part of the Autism Spectrum.

HOWEVER, no one apologized, no one explained that they prided themselves on anything, and no explanation was given for my friend and I being ignored by every service person on the night in question.

Truly, this "response" is little more than zero.

What would have to be done to make this "response" be more than zero?

Simple, acknowledge that my letters were indeed received, one by one.

Next, hand-write a formal apology for my friend and I being IGNORED that particular night.

Lastly, promise me that this will not happen again.
