I guess Bill fail to mention that he email 2:30 am telling me that they made a big mistake in hiring me to do his project . So I when...

over to look at the project , perma board was installed 95 percent with nails not screws . My first question to bill was did they use thin set his response was yes I was here the whole day . Then in the office the hardwood floor had been damaged from somebody and a patch of floor level was used and a mess . At this point I told bill I couldn't give a warranty because I didn't install the perma bd but I would use screws beside of nails and the nails that didn't set the thin set to the hardwood we did replace the damage tiles the first complaint and grout then he told me he had 30 more after about two weeks . So I had a tile guy well know in the business to fix the rest and tell me the problem . He told me cheap thin set used on perma bd install and no latex additive used . I try to hep this customer out to fix the issues . Then on Sunday I told him to make sure he inspected the work beacause this was it . He told tile guy great job . Then I get this complaint. Bottom line go to contractors that u hired from the beginning. I can't see under the perma board I trusted u on that contractor install I was not there . I used all your materials you suppy . And I made it clear I couldn't stand behind perma board install . So I am out of $1150.00 on labor. Will never try to help a customer that hired the wrong contractor to start with . I been over backwards to give you a good job under the circumstances you as the homeowner pull yourself in . I didn't install perma board and you told me you watch him install well if u did why did u let him get by with nails not even nail down to the floor nails raised up a 1/4 from perma bd , a bunch bent over . U watch him install like this and u didn't complaint to him but let him go beacause he damaged walls is what u told me . As the homeowner you bill have to be blame because u was there the nails not set , nails bent over . The bottom line I think u hire a cheap contractor to start with to save $ . I gave u all the information up front were to save $ to get all your materials , then u liar to me and told me u was going After contractor that build your house that harewood floor was installed wrong and all alone u had hired this other contractor I have the email Bill to prove this statment
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2016/08/11) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I did first hire another contractor to do this tile job. After a few days of him on the job and several walls and our refrigerator being damaged we chose to fire him. We were not satisfied with there quality of work and their carelessness around our house.
When I hired Bit's Builders, I had Danny over to the house to review the job. I pointed out my concern with how the previous contractor was doing the job with the permaboard. I hired Bits Builders to inspect the previous work, make corrections, and complete the job. In no way did I instruct Danny to lay the tile over top the permaboard without any corrective measures, our instructions were to inspect and correct any previous shortcoming from the previous contractor and complete the job. Danny did point out a mistake from the previous contractor right away with the use of nails and not screws. If Danny seen any possible issue with the installation of the permaboard at that time he should have told me to rip out the previous permaboard and install new. Again I hired Bits Builders to employ proper installation procedures and corrective measures. Danny wants to place blame on the previous contractor, but Danny failed to remember I fired the previous contractor because of my displeasure with his work, and I hired Danny to correct and complete the job.
Bits Builders crew finished the job in March and did a new job and was very respectful to keeping our house clean and not damaged. However, after 3 months we were noticing lifting tiles, cracking grout, and cracked tiles.
When I contacted Danny about the repairs he did come out to take note of the issues and made plans to send a crew out to complete the repair. However, the crew never fixed all the tiles that were identified the first round of repairs.
I then made arrangement for Danny to send another crew to fix the missed tiles the previous crew clearly ignored during the first round of repairs.
The second round of repairs I had identified 55 total tiles for replacement and had purchased 65 tiles to be used to replace the 55 tiles with issues. Based off the amount of tiles I had left over it was easy to see they only repaired 30 of the 55 tiles. Currently I still have 4 cracked tiles and 3 tiles with movement issues that were never replaced and who knows how many tiles that were ignored that will find over the next few weeks. The crew Danny hired to install the new tiles damaged several pieces of shoe molding and tried to mask the repair by using caulking to cover over the large gouges they caused. Danny can try to deflect blame all he wants but the fact still remains I hired him to fix and complete the job. Now months later Danny wants to blame the previous contractor and assume no responsibility. I accepted my responsibility by firing the previous contractor and realized he was not getting the job done right.
Prior to contacting the Revdex.com I have made attempts to contact Danny by text message, phone, and email and he has never replied. It is very apparent he has no intention of correcting and I have given him several chances to do so.
After filling the Revdex.com complaint I have hired another contractor to fix all the damaged molding so this issue does not exist. I did come out of my own pocket $442 to new shoe molding and labor.
If this flooring continues to be an issue with cracking grout and loos tiles I will be forced to replace the entire floor. At that time I will file a law suit, and I will not accept anything less than complete compensation for the demo and re-installation of the floor of no cost to me.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2016/08/15) */

Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 11, 2016/08/24) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Danny has contacted me regarding the shoe molding and getting us a check for the cost of replacement. I have emailed Danny the receipt from the contractor who replaced the shoe molding and I am still waiting for Danny's check. Also Danny said he would get another tile guy to come out and fix the remaining issues I have with the tile and this has yet to happen. I am still hopeful we can resolve this issue but as of this moment all things Danny has agreed to correct has not be tended to.
