Review: I was quoted 70 dollars to diagnose the problem with my truck. They called back 1 day later saying they needed 350 more dollars to diagnose the problem. I felt this was not right as I had already been reassured from the service man [redacted] that they would have a quote when they called. So frustrated with the lack of information I started to speak with management who advised me that I was stuck with the bill and they were keeping my truck until I paid for the diagnostic test that did not find the problem. I continued to climb the management ladder in an attempt to find someone there that cared. No one did, even the owners son [redacted] was the most aggressive, rude, unprofessional management staff I have ever dealt with. They do not care about their customers at all, its all about the money! I will never use this establishment again.Desired Settlement: I would like an apology from [redacted] for his display on the phone. I would also like the 70 dollars that I am being forced to pay returned to me.

Bitterroot Motors has done nothing wrong. We diagnosed his truck and told him what it would take to repair it. Mr. [redacted] didn't like answer. He was charged for the diagnosis. He is welcome to take his business where ever he would like.

Before I took my truck to Bitterroot Motors, I went in there and talked to [redacted] a Service person there in the service department. I explained to him that I had just had a mobile mechanic come diagnosis the truck the day before. He was aware as the mobile mechanic had consulted one of his mechanics the day before. I told him of the Mobile mechanics finding of three possibilities high pressure oil pump, rings inside intake, and another oil issue, but he did not have the equipment to perform the test and recommended I take it to Bitterroot Motors, as he had already consulted Mr. [redacted] Bitterroots' diesel tech. After explaining this in detail to Mr. [redacted] he assured me that "For 69 dollars I will tell you whats wrong and what the cost will be to fix it." So I elected to tow my truck there based on the fact they already knew the preliminary diagnosis and they seemed able to take care of the task. So upon receiving Mr. [redacted]s call and him telling me they needed to do 350 dollars of more tests to determine which of the 3 oil issues the problem was, my problem is they did not do what they said and I had already told them about those 3 oil issues, so I told them they were not to touch my truck and that they were using deceptive practices. I beleive that [redacted] owes me an apology and I believe that Bitterroot motors owes me 69 dollars.

This is our third response to the complaint of Mr. [redacted]. Bitterroot Motors diagnosed his truck and he didn't like the answer. Bitterroot Motors charged him the $69.00 diagnosis fee. Bitterroot Motors considers the case closed.
