As you can see from the attached email thread (read in reverse for date order), Ms [redacted] contacted us on 9/13/requesting we add her daughter and her daughter’s vehicle to her policy Under her Progressive policy she had liability only on this policy That is the same as was provided for her daughter’s car (We match coverage of the existing vehicles on the policy when adding a vehicle unless we are specifically asked to increase or decrease coverage.) Looking at the email dated 9/20/our agent, Jason G***, informed the insured by adding the daughter and her vehicle it increased the premium more than double He looked into quoting with other insurance carriers to see if he could find her a savings elsewhereOur agent replied to Ms [redacted] on 9/21/that he did not have a carrier that could provide a lower premium Ms [redacted] never replied after that We were not provided in writing a request to remove her daughter and her daughter’s vehicle or to cancel the policy State law prohibits removing or deleting coverage without written consent from the insured Had the insured contacted MrG [redacted] he would gladly have worked with her to either remove her daughter or cancel the policy

This is a very unfortunate story. The client did speak with agent Michael regarding insuring his vehicle, but expressed that he needed to wait to the first of the year to make payment. He did however confirm that he would go ahead at that time and provided agent with his checking account...

info.Holiday’s especially Christmas are very special, the agent should have called and reminded client of payment and client should have documented his file that monies would be taken out. [redacted] has been up dated and returning all of the monies that were sent.  Jim
