RE: ID# [redacted] Dear Ms. [redacted],This letter is in response to the complaint filed by [redacted], ID#[redacted] purchased a 2003 Mitsubishi Outlander from our dealership on 02/05/2015. The vehicle was purchased "As-ls" through our...

dealership but she was given an extended warranty through [redacted] Warranty For 3 months or 4,500 miles covering/warranting the vehicle’s powertrain. I have attached documents signed on date of purchase by [redacted] titled as follows to: Bill of Sale, Notice to Customers, Important Notice, & Warranty Disclosure. On or around 03/20/2015, [redacted] dropped off the 2003 Mitsubishi at our dealership to have the vehicle diagnosed by our service department because the check engine light was on & the vehicle was sputtering. Our service department scanned the check engine light We diagnosed the vehicle has an engine misfire & exhaust repair. We replaced the ignition coil, spark plugs, wires, & exhaust flex pipe. The total service bill for this repair was $416.72, We agreed to pay 50% of the bill, $208.36, as an accommodation & to maintain customer satisfaction. [redacted]'s responsibility would be $208.36 plus tax. I have attached the "Notice to Customer" signed by [redacted] stating that no repairs or service are due after the date of purchase. This form is used to list anything promised/due to a customer by our salesman after the sale date. [redacted] signed it & "nothing" is written in the box that reads Johhny Bizzarro's Fleetwing Auto Sales owes to Purchaser". I have also attached the "Important Notice" signed by [redacted] that states she is purchasing the vehicle in "As-ls" condition. Even though the 2003 Mitsubishi was purchased in "As-ls" condition & [redacted] signed acknowledging nothing is owed to her after the sale date, we are still willing to pay 50% ($208.36) towards her repair. When the vehicle was in our shop for repair, we also found the water pump to be faulty. The water pump is a covered component under the [redacted] Powertrain warranty, which was included in the vehicle purchase. The warranty company authorized the water pump replacement & [redacted] would be responsible to pay her $100.00 deductible. [redacted] Warranty was paying the balance of the repair. We tried to contact [redacted] for three weeks to get her authorization to perform the repairs on her vehicle. Finally, [redacted] returned our call & approved the repairs. He agreed to pay 50% of the bill to repair the engine misfire & exhaust. He also agreed to pay the $100 deductible for the water pump replacement. He said he would to come in with the payment so we could begin the repairs. We ordered the parts & waited for [redacted] to bring his payment. Since then, weeks have passed, we've made numerous phone calls, left messages that have gone unanswered & the 2003 Mitsubishi is still sitting in our parking lot not fixed. The parts are here waiting to be installed once the [redacted] come in with payment. After numerous unsuccessful attempts to contact the [redacted] to finalize the repairs, we received the complaint she filed with the Revdex.com.We would like to resolve this matter with [redacted] & get her vehicle repaired. Her vehicle has been on our lot for almost 2 months & we have tried to contact her numerous times. We are willing to fix her car as agreed previously: $208.36 to repair the engine misfire & exhaust (we are paying $203.36 towards the repair) and $100.00 (her deductible) for the water pump which [redacted] Warranty is paying the balance of the repair. She will owe a total of $308.36 plus tax & we can repair her vehicle. Once again, we are offering to pay 50% of her service bill as an accommodation & for customer satisfaction even though the vehicle was purchased "As-ls". Hopefully, our explanation will help resolve this matter. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.Sincerely,[redacted] Manager

Review: On February 14th I was in Johnny bizzaros fleeting auto searching for a vehicle for me and my family. I had my fiance and my father inlaw with me. Ibtest driver a few cars and ended up liking a 2003 mitsubishi outlander. Upon test driving it my fiance and father in law both pointed out a few issues with the vehicle. There was no heat, a problem with the wipers and there was a engine service light on the engine was also sputtering. [redacted] who was with us during the test drive told me that if I liked the vehicle that he would take care of whatever the problem was with the engine light he would have it fixed if we Agreed to purchase the car. My father in law informed me the only way you by the car is if he agreed to take care of the preexisting problems. [redacted] agreed to fix the preexisting problems if we purchased the car for 6 grand which I thought was fair because I was paying 2000 dollars over book value. So since I thought he was going to fix it I agreed to purchase. After purchasing the vehicle [redacted] told me to bring the car back about a week after I bought it they had the car for about week they said it was fixed I got home and to my surprise nothing was fixed still no heat still sputtering still had an engine light on triptronic still didn't work they fixed nothing. So I called and I was told to bring the car back in. I took it back In they had it for about 3 weeks I call to see what's going on and [redacted] tells me to hold on a few minutes so I could talk to his mechanic. A few minutes go by the mechanic answers the phone tells me what's wrong with it and then tells me its going to cost me 310 dollars for the fixes they made. They agreed to fix preexisting problems before purchasing now all of a sudden I have a bill and [redacted] claims he never agreed to fix the car even though I have 2 witnesses that were present when he was agreeing to fix the car. He got me to purchase the car then pulled the rug from under me. He basically robbed me of 6 thousand dollarsDesired Settlement: I would like to have my 6000 dollars refunded or have the vehicle fixed like he promised.
