We were having a new home built in Naples, Florida but still living out-of-state We decided that we would like to add crown molding throughout our new home and also on the coffers in the dining room and master bedroom Since we were not familiar with contractors in Naples, FL, I began doing research for companies that did this type of work One company that consistently stood out above the rest was B.JTrim Carpentry
I called and spoke to John, who scheduled a day to come out to see the home to give us an estimate for the work Since we had just closed on our home by mail and we were not in Florida yet, John got the key from the sales office He went to our new home and called us promptly afterwards to send us the quote We agreed to go ahead with the project
John is so professional and started work when he said and he would also call us with daily updates We took a chance hiring John, since we had neither met him in person nor seen his work John saw our new home before we did! We could not be any happier about our decision to have B.J.Trim Carpentry do this work!
As it turns out, we chose a very competent, talented craftsman who is meticulous in his work, as well as keeping our new home spotless
When we came to Florida and saw our home for the first time, the crown molding was absolutely beautiful! When we invited our new neighbors over, they each commented about the beauty and workmanship of our crown molding and coffers Now they want John to do crown moldings on their homes, as well!
We finally met John in person for the first time last week and to compliment him on his workmanship We mentioned that we wanted to put a peephole on our front door and he said he would install it for us Then we decided that the color was not correct for our door and we would exchange the part John offered to come out a 2nd time to install it, which he did yesterday Another perfect job What a nice guy! We would recommend John to anyone

We recently purchased a home in Estero Four of the closets had mirrored doors, which we wanted to replace with traditional sliding wooden doors I found John on the internet His reviews were consistently excellent John lived up to every one of the excellent reviews
John returned my initial call in less than an hour He set up an appointment the next day to come to the house John is very professionalHe is low key, not pushy in any way He is prompt - when he says he will arrive at certain time, he does As we explained what we wanted John provided valuable suggestions The next day he sent me a detailed proposal, which we agreed to A few days later John had the doors and other materials, which he placed in my garage (the work was scheduled several weeks out)
Regarding the actual work, John worked alone He has a beautiful large camper-like truck filled with every supply you can imagine He is meticulous A real craftsman He takes great pride in his work He ensures he leaves your home 100% clean He made certain the doors lined up perfectly against the side walls despite the side walls being slightly off Once the unpainted doors were prepared so that they operated flawlessly, he returned the doors to our garage where he spray painted them To do this, he placed plastic coverings around the entire garage The next day, after the newly painted doors dried, he returned to hang the doors permanently
The four sets of sliding closet doors look fantastic! They move back and forth easily The edge of each door meets perfectly with the wall when they close (this took some real effort on John's part using shims) We are extremely pleased
John is not happy until you, the customer, are happy He takes that seriously
One final note Several weeks after John completed the closet doors I had another set of closet doors that had already been there that required a new circular pull handle I looked around at Lowes and Home Depot but could not find the circular handle I needed I sent John a note asking if he could direct me to where I could find this handle Not only did John get back to me that same day, but the next day he came to house with the handles and installed one for me I of course offered to cover the costs but he simply said it was his pleasure
My experience working with John is about as good as it gets Professional, polite, a true craftsman, takes pride in his work, returns calls, is prompt, customer focused, superb finished product - not sure what else one can ask for
I am not one who is easy to impress I have extremely high standards Based on my experience John met those high standards in every way I would most definitely recommend him

I had the pleasure of using John from BJ Trim Carpentry on two occasions. He is a true craftsman. John installed crown molding throughout my entire home. He also installed a chair rail, shelving and shadow boxes. John is very meticulous and thorough. He takes pride in what he does and always leaves the customer satisfied.
