BJC Home medical equipment

I acquired a CPAP machine about 6 months ago. There was a monthly charge that I was aware of. I got an emailed picture of a bill which I ignored because I figured it was a notification. Then the phone calls start... "you owe money, do you want to pay it now?" Uh, no. I want you to send me a bill. OK. No bill. More calls... send me a bill and I'll pay it. FINALLY I got a bill and guess what? I paid it! Next month I get a bill about the same time the calls started. Ugh. Got what I assumed is the final bill for $14 and some change last week. I sent a payment within a few days. Today, another freaking call from "United States" and she left a message. I called back, got transferred and got cut off. Immediately, a call came in from Texas. I was curious so I answered it. "You called?" Uh... "this is BJC home medical, is this [...]? Yes, what do you need? "There's a balance due". Did you send me a bill? You're supposed to send a bill and I'll pay it. Do you see that noted on my account? "Can I get your phone number?'" No. YOU HAVE MY NUMBER! You just called me! I told her that THREE TIMES! Reluctantly, I gave my number while grumbling about no ID on the number that called me. Asked me if I want to pay over the phone or online. NO! Lord, have mercy, we've been thru this a few times already. If you send me a bill, I'll pay it! Notes my account...again. Don't even get me started on the amount of money they want for CPAP supplies after insurance! It's 4-5 times what I pay for supplies from the actual manufacturer without insurance adjustments! This is by far the worst division of BJC. I have always received good care at facilities and dr offices, but this home medical is an absolute joke. Hopefully I'm all paid up and won't ever have to deal with them again. How in the world they were selected as "Team of the year" is beyond me.
