I would prefer to refund Ms***'s money as opposed to continue to dispute this issue with her

As stated in a letter to me dated Jan from the attorney's office: "This email is to follow up with you about our conversation recentlyI have attached the Documents Needed listPlease provide only copiesWe do not need you to provide our office with the documents until your attorney's fees have been paid in fullSome of the documents are time sensitive and should not be provided until we are actually preparing your petitionWe will begin preparing your petition when the attorney's fees are paid in full. The court filing fee for a Chapter Bankruptcy is $and can be paid in installments to the Bankruptcy Court over the months following the filing of your banrkuptcy petition." Thank you. Chad W***, Esq.GUINN SEN & WALTON, PLLCIt was my understanding that no work would be done until the office was paid in full. No documents were submitted and I was informed that I would receive my money back if I decided not to proceed before that time. No credit check was ever done by this firm as I recently performed my own which shows who has run credit checks. I have not signed any contract which is why the office has not been able to provide one

[redacted]Re: Refund RequestDear Ms. [redacted]:According to our records, you retained this office, on a flat fee basis, to represent you in obtaining protection from your creditors under the United States Bankruptcy Code on or around August 28, 2015.  That was...

almost 1 year ago.   The total flat fee agreed upon was $1,935.00. You have paid $650.00 of that total amount, leaving a balance owed of $1285.00. Please see a copy of your payment history attached.Since you retained this office, we have verified your eligibility to file bankruptcy by checking court records, property values and applicable exemption amounts. Additionally, we enrolled you in my creditor program where we responded to creditor inquiries to verify our representation of you in this matter.  Pursuant to our agreement the cost of said enrollment is $100 per month, all of which is applied to the total flat fee owed; but not refundable if you do not file your bankruptcy. Accordingly, we have earned the $650.00 you paid and more.  Please find attached hereto our invoice showing an accounting of time expended on your case. However, if you wish to file bankruptcy now, I will file your case for an additional payment of $200.00; plus you will be required to pay a filing fee of $335 to the court after your petition is filed. The filing fee may be paid in installments over 3 months after filing. Alternatively, I will close your file and you will not be required to pay anything further.  Please don’t hesitate to call me directly with any questions or concerns at ###-###-####.Sincerely,GUINN SEN & WALTON, PLLC

Guinn Law Group, PLC stopped doing business in 2013 when I joined a new firm.  I have no record of Ms. [redacted] as a client.  The first step as a client is to sign a contact with me to outline the terms of our agreement.  Please ask Ms. [redacted] to send me a copy of her contact or to...

detail her communication with me or my office.  It sounds like she is complaining about the activity of a third party lead generating group and not my law office.
