My technician called and left a message to change the appt to earlier in the day due to illness and not wanting to cancel the appt. Our cell records show that he left the message at 11:23 am. We did not receive a call back. I received a text from the owner the following am while away at a family...

wedding. I immediately responded and told him that we would send a tech out there in the pn on Monday that was convenient for him. I apologized for the misunderstanding. He refused our services. The only work that was to be completed the day of the misunderstanding was to install 3 switches (which had been left undone only because he mentioned to my technician Randy on the last day of the project that he wanted stackable switches that would control the fan and light separately. We don't carry these switches and needed to get then from the supply shop). The entire project would have only taken my tech less than 10 minutes to complete, which we were and still are more than willing to do. The customer has declined our services. In reference to the owner never visited the site that is untrue. My head electrician managed the job. I was on the site on the second day of work. The owner wanted the job begun as soon as possible so they could move in. Due to my schedule, I told him I couldn't visit the site immediately and thus we agreed to a rate based on time and material as opposed to an itemized contract. We also upgraded his panel to a 30 circuit panel free of charge (950 dollar value) because we knew he was working within a strict budget.In reference to the two rooms that he said were left undone, we needed a day to complete and he did not want to move forward with that. We never agreed to rewire all the lights in the house so we did not leave an "unfinished job."We apologized for the misunderstanding, wanted to rectify it, but were refused.We value our customer and their satisfaction and are always willing to rectify a situation.

Please add your rejection comments below. I never received a message to change appt. If I had why would I leave work early to be at location for 3pm appt? Whatever business phone recoeds show, or don't, I never received a message - voice or text. The owner never responded that he would send a tech out on a Monday. His reply was that he was not aware of the missed appt & that he was away on block island. He would get together with his guys on Monday to find out what happened. And my conversation with [redacted] the tech regarding bedroom light switches was to inquire IF I were to install other type switches how would they be wired? I did not say I wanted different type switch. When I stated that owner never visited job site I was referring to the fact that he negotiated a price over the phone without seeing the work needed himself. His head electrician gave him all info for job. In fact his head electrician estimated cost of job to be $5500 (unknown to me at the time) but quoted me on the phone $6600 but would reduce it to $6200 if I paid him in cash. Yes there was never an agreement to rewire all the lights in the house. But the ceiling lights in living room & dining room were part of agreed upon price. (lights not part of project were outside lights, garage, hall, small bath, front entrance foyer). And this is the best part of owner's statement - he said they needed 1 more day to complete the 2 rooms left (living room & dining room) at an additional cost of $1000!!! He is acknowledging that these were left to do & were part of project. He just wanted more money to finish job. This is why I did not move forward. These 2 "unfinished" rooms were included in price of project - NO QUESTION, NO MISUNDERSTANDING. On the last day of project all the owner was concerned about was the amount of time still needed to complete this job & how much work he had at other job sites. If he was confident that everything was done to my satisfaction, THE CUSTOMER, why was he so concerned that I would not pay him? And as far as him playing hero & making mention of upgraded panel done free of charge. I did not ask for this & we discussed panel on phone. I told him to leave the panel the way it was. Does he think that by "giving" me an upgraded panel that makes up for him not doing what was actually agreed to? What, bring your car to mechanic for 4 wheel brake job but he only has time to do 2 wheels but throws in free wiper blades to make everything ok? Really? Still not happy? How about we throw in a free air freshener also? The owner of B & K Electric is the ultimate salesman. Back in the day he would be called a snake oil salesman.?

Please add your rejection comments below. I would like the business owner to address & state why the job could not be finished (Ceiling/wall switches in living room & dining room) when he clearly indicated in prior response that there was 1 day of work left to complete project. In addition to the "forgotten" bedroom switches. Clearly this work was included in price of job, however owner balked at doing this portion unless I was willing to pay an additional $1000. When I refused the job ended. So here we are.
