on or about 4 14 2014 I received 100 dollar deposit to start chinking job bercause he needed to keep his insurance company happy to see the job is being started. needed which was not part of the contract so given permission to remove it was authorized and I started to remove bark for 7 hours @ 25 dollals an hour which customer said he would now do it himself to save money because he could not afford that. An additional 20 hours of labor was performed installing backer board and tape between the logs which had to be custom fit to follow contour of the logs. This was done by myself and my laborer. We started to install chinking on a Saturday morning and stopped in the afternoon after home owner approved the work with exception of one joint which was about 6 inches wide. He was told that the joint was too big for product according to specs from manufacturer and that I would fix the joint at no cost to him the next day. Sunday it rained as well as Monday. On Monday I recived a call from state police asking about the scxaffolding and why it was removed ,to which I knew nothing about, so I called owner of scaffolding to see if he took it back. He told me he did not want the liabilty of the home owner using the scaffolding and being 15 to 20 feet in the air, to which I agreed. Home owner was then informed of problem and was told that I would rent scaffolding and return in a few days to which he agreed. Tuesday I received phone call from owner saying he would find someone else to finish job to which I agreed to because of the problems which we were having working there. These include1.    having to stop work on a construction site due to noise because baby was sleeping every 2 to 3 hours.2.    not being paid for additional work added after contact was signed. 175 dollars for bark removal3.    being told to halt work for 2 days so owner could get tools to remove bark himself which had no bearing on where I was working because bark had already been removed. Cost of 2 days labor because nothing else was scheduled to be started at that time.4.    not being paid for time to pick up materials for job which home owner was responsible forContract was for 1500 dollars labor only for chinking and owner was responsible for all materials. I picked up materials needed for job and was only paid for roughly half. They would not pay for all things required for job. All tools and material purchased were left on job site for home owner and every effort was made to keep him happy, including my efforts to aquire scaffolding at my expence and labor costs at my expence. So when things are added up we really just about break even, so I feel there is no need to go further with this.
